Ds1 is 7 and still allergic to milk and egg. He's very thin and always hungry.

I think he may be missing something in his diet , a typical days food looks like this

Breakfast: toast and spread or cereal/porridge and soya milk, water.

Mid morn: piece of fruit, water

Lunch: ham or chicken sandwich, cucumber, crisps, dairy free chocolate or a soya yogurt.

After school: usually an apple or banana, sometimes houmous and carrot sticks.

Dinner: casserole (beef or chicken and veg and dumplings) or pasta, or chicken, pots and veg. Soya custard or ice cream for dessert

Before bed: soya milk or neocate advance

Looks good. It's good to have an iron rich foid (like your beef casserole) with something full of vitamin C and not followed too closely with calcuim rich food.

Could you add some green leafy veggies in somewhere? Maybe in the sandwich, and some cherry tomatoes or grapes...

I am just being though.

I think maybe good fats? So nuts, animal fats and things like avocado. Could you make a lovely guacamole with breadsticks ir carrot sticks if he won't eat them straight? Cook with things like olive oil and coconut oil. Good fats - quality fats - are super important and if he can't have cheese/ full fat milk / cream/ butter etc, you can up the other kinda of fat in his diet.

Agree also leafy greens and maybe different kinds of starchy carbs like butternut squash and sweet potato. Fries plantain is lovely - imagine a sweet but starchy banana but more savoury. My 18 month old loves plantain!

I agree about the good fats. My kids don't eat eggs or dairy, they eat a lot of fish, tinned and fresh, ( tinned fish with bones are particularly high in calcium like sardines and salmon and great for fishcackes) tofu, nuts, all varieties, pulses, beans, chickpeas, lentils etc.

Thanks I will try some of these ideas.

Got an oil today (udo's) from the health food shop that looks quite good, it has omega oils in and I think it may help ds1.

Has he seen a dietician? My DD is egg and dairy free and we see the dietician yearly and has really helped me to ensure enough protein and calcium.
