On friday I was looking after my nephew and sil had put johnsons sensitive baby wipes in his bag so I used one to give dd2 a quick clean before leaving the house but with in 15 mns she was covered in a rash that looked just like measles. So a trip to the gp later and she is on a course of anithistemeans and anti biotics incase she goes into anaphalactic shock. Please be aware of things like this

I fell for Johnsons are/must be the best when ds was born. He fortunately didn't need medical treatment from them but did end up looking like a baboon after I used just one wipe on his bum!

I found that most wipes made worse any rashes my two had on their bums. The only ones that didn't were Kirkland, an American brand from Costco. As for dd, I can't use even Kirkland wipes on her face as she breaks out in eczema if I do.

Babies don't need wipes for nappy changes, nor do they need lotions - cottonwool or washable wipe and water is all they need. Wipes are really useful once they're toddlers and into everything (and everything is onto them), but even then you can manage without, as I had to learn to do with dd.

I have only ever used cotton woll and water for bum changes but now she is 2.4 yrs and potty trained I tend to buy huggies pure just for in my bag or any little accidents.

I was mostly shocked that I had only wiped her face and the rash has covered her head to foot.

i have never used them on my DS because i once ran out of loo roll (right near end of preg) and had a few packets of them in the house so used them instead... within minutes my ass was stinging and i had to have a shower. took them straight to boots and had them exchanged!

I cant use johnsons wipes or shampoo or bath products on ds as he comes out in a huge rash. I just buy asdas own fragrence free wipes and use natural base (aromatherapy wash)
