Allergies and intolerances

Anyone have a hair dye allergy?

I have a nasty alergy to PPD found in most hair dyes and wondered if anyone on here suffers with it also. I developed it after having a henna tattoo several years ago (it's the black dye they put in the tattoos that can trigger the allergy).
A couple of weeks ago I did a patch test of a dye I thought would have a low level of PPD and put a dot with a cotton bud on my upper arm. I then developed a large burn and a swollen arm.
Would be nice to hear from anyone else that has this problem.
