Washing powders

Hello all!

I've been researching sensitive skin washing powders, in particular those which say they're specially for babies. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions they'd like to share?

Also, has anyone used a product called Filetti? What do you think of it?

Any input would be hugely appreciated Smile

What do you want to know? When my lo was born I used those wash it ball from lakeland, they don't contain any chemicals, they just create the oxygen in the water to do it's stuff (I think!) so I was sure if he was sensitive I couldn't have done any better.

Hi My ds1 is 14 and seems to have a reaction to lots of washing powders and conditioners (but doesnt generally have excema or allergies).
We have found that Ecover liquid is fine for him so stick to that.

Have either of you heard of filetti?

I know this might be really cheeky but do you have email addresses so I could send a questionnaire to you?

I have seen it in the supermarket but not quite sure what it is. You can have my email address, is it quite safe to put it on here? I'm popping out so will check later.

DD has excema and we've only been able to use Fairy non-bio, she (and I!) comes out in a rash with anything else. Hadn't heard of the ball thing from Lakeland though, will check that out.

Dizzymama the ball is about £8 and lasts forever, do you know of Lakeland? their address is www.lakelandlimited.co.uk and I think the product is actually called wash it balls!

I've started using the lakeland ball too. My parents have also started using it. My dad came out in a bizarre rash at the start of the year which was driving him up the wall. My mum tried all sorts of other products but within 10 days of using the ball the rash and accompanying itchiness had all but disappeared.

I have been using ecover powder and conditioner and have discovered (in the mode of an Einstein-esque scientist Wink)

  1. it doesn't aggravate any of our allergies
  2. Smells gorgeous, much nicer than mainstream brands
  3. Goes further as you use less
  4. Cleans best imo of anything I have used
  5. I get a shinier halo as environmentally friendly Grin
