Does anyone know whatever happened to the ladies who wrote these books?

I've read the second one but it's dated 2003 and would love to know if they intend to do another follow-up, 7 years on.

I too would love to know how they are doing with their firstborn's nearly teenagers. I have just re-read both books and still find myself belly laughing from their anecdotes.

How exciting to think that there are people out there who are interested in how us Fat ladies are getting along!!! I am Hilary, the fat lady who had Molly. The four of us are all still very close friends. Infact molly is currently staying with Sarah, who now lives in Lille. Our eldest are all now approaching 14. Molly is 5ft7 with c cup books who dresses like a slapper and has a totally hormonal attitude .... delightful!! Clearly i am a model parent!!! I am in the statistics of divorced parents - not by choice. David [the farmer] did a bunk with one of my school mum friends. infact she was even mentioned in the 2nd book!! Little did I realise... hey ho. Thank you so much for your lovely comments and your interest in us. sadly the 2nd book didnt sell well, hence penguin not wanting us to write another. Cheers hilary

Funnily enough I've just been re-reading my Fat Ladies book and chuckling away, and am delighted to find an update having Googled to see what I could unearth about what had happened next to you all. It must be time for another book...you're a few years ahead of me on the parenting front and I'll be needing the Fat Ladies honest advice on tweens and teenagers soon!

Sorry to hear of the divorce Hilary, but hope life is otherwise treating you well.

I've read both these books too. Great to get an update from Hilary. What happened to all the others?

I loved that book and didnt even know there was a second one out...will look for it. Will read the first one again and then get the second one.

Wow, how wonderful to google one of my favourite books and see a post from Hilary! I'm also a member of divorced parents so it's reassuring to be in good company. The book gave me a real sense of belonging. Any further news on any of the others?
