DH loves the secret side of London - all the disused tube stations, the secret whitehall underground offices etc. Can anybody recommend a good book that goes into all of these things, but isn't necessarily a tourist guide book? - We moved out of London 7 yrs ago, and are a couple hundred miles away, so not much chance of following any tours! I'd like to buy him a book he can read without having to be there IYKWIM. I've had a quick look on amazon, but some of them sound a bit more like guide books than a good read for a rainy day. TIA.
