My BIL has asked for a non-biased (ie neither anti nor pro) biography of Che Guevara for his birthday. Would anybody be able to recommend anything?

I know its not helpful, but genuinely, I don't know if its possible to write a non-bias history or biography when it comes to politically related figures.

Why not give him the Che Guevara Bolivian diaries think he would love that as it is his last diary before he was murdered or The motorcycle diaries The story of how he became a revolutionist compulsive reading or the DVD of the film,
Thanks. I know you can never be biased- I think we just need to work out which side of the fence he sits! I suppose what he wants is something that at least attempts to be balanced.
In the end we've gone for the motor cycle diaries and a book called Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life by Jon Lee Anderson, which has good reviews and is at least meant to be thorough (or as several people said: epic!)
