Is it a new one? When he says at Home, where does he mean? US or UK?

I really liked it. I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been much of a fanfare around it.
If you read much history, there are no great surprises, but it's so genial and readable and approachable that I found it impossible not to like.
I can't wait to read this - am waiting for it to come out in paperback so hope to pick it up next time I am in the UK. Read some extracts in the Daily Mail - am currently re-reading everything else he has ever written in anticipation!

Is it in paperback yet? I'm surprised I haven't read it if it is. Love all his stuff. He's gorgeous in rl as well. <boast>

It is in paperback. It's a brilliant book, although I'm very partial to Bill Bryson!

is that the one set in his ex-vicarage in Norfolk? Loved it. Fascinating detail about the history of the home. I vaguely knew a lot of it already, but it's lovely to have it in Bill Bryson's words.

One of my lovely DDs gave it to me for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to reading it, once I've got my current book group tome out of the way.
I got this out of the library yesterday. It's a first Bill Bryson for me, only a few pages in but I think I'm going to enjoy it.
I've got this on audio book. Haven't got far yet, but am enjoying it
I am going to be the voice of dissent then. I am just not enjoying it which is astonishing. I adore Mr B and have read every thing else he's written.
I will persevere.
I loved that book but then I am a massive history geek.
I loved it too (read on holiday last week) but the bathroom chapter made me <boak> and the bedroom chapter (at least I think that's the one he covers childbirth in) made me sad.
