Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

I really loved The Kite Runner

Not read the other two I'm afraid.
I was also disappointed by Interpretation of Murder.
The Kite Runner is v good - but not at all enjoyable.

The Kite Runner is excellent, but I think Interpretation of Murder will suit you better - haven't read the other book.

Oooh, im not really up for weepy - the last book i read touched on the war in Afghanistan and it made me angry. Maybe save that one for another time.

Maybe some murder detective lite is about right for now.

I loved the Kite Runner. It is a bit of a weepy but also uplifting (if you see what I mean). It is now one of my all time favourite books.

Haven't read the others I'm afraid.

A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry
Interpretation of Murder is a bit murder detective lite. I loved it but then my idea of a relax is to read Agatha Christie, don't know the others, but have heard Kite Runner is a weepy.

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
