I think that's it [passes out with effort]
Please let me know if for some reason you haven't had my email with addresses on! (I have sent it to all of you AFAIK, but....)
looks a bit saucy lulumama , DH away tonight so will have early night to read I think (am also reading Dr Zhivago for RL book group, so bit of a contrast!)
Glad you got it Pruners, it does all take a while from here! Not received mine yet but getting excited about it's imminent arrival - I love a new good book!
Sorry I haven't been around all week but just got back from a visit to the UK (to see the Spice Girls!! )
McDreamy, have no idea how long it would take a book to arrive to you but it was posted over a week ago.. Actually, there's 2 books (neither very big) as i couldn't decide (as usual). So I sent an old favourite and a newish discovery
It'll get here........eventually! The postal system here is funny, one day you can receive goods you ordered just a few days ago and then the next time you order it can take weeks. I have a good feeing about tomorrow!!!
welcome ! have started mine...thanks WWB! it is in the car to read when i wait for DS at school time, my best friend said it is her favourite book ever !
I'm so sorry McDreamy, perhaps they thought the parcel was something dodgy - depsite the fact it had Books written all over the outside and my name and address etc.
Good job I removed the hash brownies at the last minute though, eh??
didn't arrive!! We did get a large parcel of xmas presents though!!
lol about the hash! It'll turn up and I will just have to lock myself away and read it very fast. Really sorry to hold the group up, I didn't anticipate this problem
Could we do 2nd week in Feb - sorry, but am away visiting parents in US in first week with ds and only back 2nd week - could not get to PO before 11/12 Feb
Sorry - is Spanielsmom here, am still wearing slimmed down name, as I am enjoying it. Should I adopt it for good?
Rubyslippers - I loved it too - but when she 'walked away' (don't want to give too much away for future readers )I couldn't believe it, and just sobbed, especailly as it was the right thing to do.
Still no book I think I am going to have to retire from this book swap circle if this is going to happen everytime. i don't want to hold everyone up . I'm moving home in the summer so maybe I can join again next time around. Really sorry everyone
I'm gutted I'm going to have to pull out! I think I have read the Anita Shreve that RS and PP are talking about - great book you'll enjoy that one too.
Books have arrived!!!!! I plan to go to bed early every night until they are finished as I have 2!! Can I give myself another go as I would love to stay and post doesn't usually take that long - not sure what happened there!!
I've just posted my book today, as I was going to the postoffice anyway, and as I'd finished the book, I didn't want to have to go all the back to p.o. next week as well!
Sorry!
Andyrobo - can you just pretend it's not there when it arrives!!!!
Panicpants - received it this morning - I will start reading it anyway as I have just finished another book! My great plan is that by reading books it will save me a fortune as I have a bad habit of buying trashy mags to read every week!
I wont post my book out until next weekend - I just finished it last night!
so we send our finished book back to the sender and send our new book to the person we sent to last time yes? am still ploughing through mine ! but will read quicker
I will not be back in UK until 11 Feb - am in the US on business and brought ds to see very doting grandparents. Just had 4 hours sleep as ds is hyper and was wide awake from 3 am.
Sorry if posting is delayed, will get it done as soon as I am back - hope that is not a problem Twiggypiggy.
Can I post towards the end of this week please? I am doing well but just need a few more days. I might post one at a time FMF if that's ok then I have more chance of reading them both. Maybe either side of the weekend? Right off to do some more reading!
I know it's late and I'm sorry <grovel, grovel> but I have been living in the house of that thing which emetophobes fear for a week! I thought I'd avoided it, but just as dd was feeling better, I started too.
Posted mine today for TwiggyPiggy - is going first class, so should be with her in a couple of days at the very latest. (changed name from Spanielsmom, btw).
Er, I am rubbish at organising, tis a miracle we got the circle going at all with me in charge so if anyone feels all bustly and organised and wishes to start threads to discuss books, be my guest
Oh goodness, I didn't mean for you to do them all, FMV! I thought maybe we could each start a thread about the book we received first, that way the person wanting to discuss doesn't have to wait for the person who posted the book to start the thread. If that makes sense!
I just didn't want to start a thread and then get shouted at because a format had been agreed somewhere and I'd blinked and missed it.
Think we should start them just like you've said FMV but which book are we going to do? Our own books ie. the first one we sent or the first one we received? (or 2 in my case!! )
I have not finished the first one, i have had to borrow it off a friend ! am finding it really hard going i had tried reading it once before, and never got to the end of it then.....
<<small voice>> will i be expelled from book club now?
It is rs! Didn't think I'd like it from the blurb on the back, but was hooked from page one. I'm going to start a thread now - but can't remember the name of the author of my original book ! So will just call it FMF's Original BOOK SWAP: Hurting Distance.
OMG I have finally found what's going on with the book swap thing! Have looked for a thread loads of times and have never managed to find one! Thanks for the books Pruners, loved your one, right up my street, found it hard going at first to be honest but loved it once I'd got into it! Had read the next one (but it was a good one!) Glad the ones I sent arrived safely too!
Oh and by the way I would like to apologise for my book, I read very quickly and pass on everything I've read so didn't have much to choose from. At least it's an easy read!
