Lulumama ... don't panic, you should have your book tomorrow!

I took the ruddy thing to the post office on Wednesday ... damned fool forgot that we live in a backwater and they close on Wednesday afternoons.

So I took it to the post office on Thursday ... and they were closed for staff training.

So I tried to take it to the post office on Friday ... and left it at home in the mad scramble to get everyone out of the house.

BUT I managed to send it this morning ... I really hope it's worth the wait!

Sorry m'dear blush

Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By WigWamBam on Mon 18-Feb-08 18:22:40
Oh goodness, I didn't mean for you to do them all, FMV! I thought maybe we could each start a thread about the book we received first, that way the person wanting to discuss doesn't have to wait for the person who posted the book to start the thread. If that makes sense!

I just didn't want to start a thread and then get shouted at because a format had been agreed somewhere and I'd blinked and missed it.

I'm up for starting a thread of the book that I originally sent out.

Has anyone else done this yet?

I'm loving The Divide, that I'm reading now. Can't put it down! Except to come on here of course!

It is rs! Didn't think I'd like it from the blurb on the back, but was hooked from page one. I'm going to start a thread now - but can't remember the name of the author of my original book blush!
So will just call it FMF's Original BOOK SWAP: Hurting Distance.

Damm, thread title now makes me look like massive egotist who thinks her book is the 'Original & Best' blush

OMG I have finally found what's going on with the book swap thing! Have looked for a thread loads of times and have never managed to find one! Thanks for the books Pruners, loved your one, right up my street, found it hard going at first to be honest but loved it once I'd got into it! Had read the next one (but it was a good one!) Glad the ones I sent arrived safely too!

Oh and by the way I would like to apologise for my book, I read very quickly and pass on everything I've read so didn't have much to choose from. At least it's an easy read!

I received my book yesterday Rubyslippers - thank you.

However, it was the same book that I sent at the start of the swop (well, not the same PHYSICAL book, but an identical one iyswim! - Hurting Distance)

So I'll pass it straight onto Andyrobo along with The Divide which I've finished. I'll put them both in the post tomorrow!

<<<pops head in thread>>>

<<<sticks tongue out>>>

Yours might be the original and the best, but you wouldn't let me join, so I had to join another, unoriginal one. So there.

Don't know but I tend to use the envelope that my new book arrives in blush so when it arrives I pop my book in it and send it on!

[sends squonk on her way with a flea in her ear]

I will put the duplicate book in my envelope and pass it on to the next person - so hopefully it will get back to its owner sooner!
