And if Draco wiping his dick on the damask curtains wasn't enough...
DS2 has misheard Draco's name and calls him "Malfboy", which is his Sussex accent sounds like Mouth Boy. Lolz all round!

Miss you too TeWi! How are you doing?

I love LOTR. Just sayin'.

TeWiSavesTheDay Wed 20-Mar-13 07:05:26

I'm ok. Still having trouble with DD, so flapping a bit about school.

I am well versed in LOTR, but it's so loooong.

Team - boring technical q, if I have regular white fondant icing, can I paint on it with food colouring, or will it not stick?

evilgiraffe Wed 20-Mar-13 07:36:00

I've painted on royal icing with gel food colours, which worked fine. I needed a bit of vodka to thin them a bit, but that was all.

Morning all. Well judging by the night I have just had today is going to be a very long one (yawn). Was kept awake half the night with chronic indigestion / heartburn and subsequently feel cr*p this morning, and am still in some pain. sad. Just my luck for it to be the day when I have to take my ancient dad to hospital and then babysit my mum whilst we wait to pick him up again some time this afternoon. (I just hope that today does not drag on too long / or he does not end up being kept in !) Having to cope with my mum alone all day will be bad enough as it is, heaven forbid if they decide to keep dad in. As is usual dh is somewhere else in the country today so cannot help out (bloody typical) angry I just hope it does not drag on too long or the dc's will end up being home alone a bit longer than I had thought. (do not be alarmed by that for those who don't know my dc's are teenagers! not little un's grin. Rant over (sorry blush as you were.

WhereChaosTheoryRules Wed 20-Mar-13 11:14:28

Hope you can get school sorted tewi.
Hope your day isn't as bad as you fear Nosey.
Miss being on the thread but need to sort rl so lurking a little as and when i get chance.

Most Prized Possession - another long Labfic with SEX grin. The lemony goodness is a bit too 'and then he lightly breathed in her general direction and she instantly climaxed, shattering into a million pieces' etc, but quite entertaining.

And in real life, do people actually spend most of a shagfest declaring love to each other confused. I can just see the H going 'okaaay, but for why you tell me now?' grin

TeamEdward Wed 20-Mar-13 16:38:50

Tewi, I concur with EG. Gel colours would be most effective, thin with a little vodka to make a paint. If you use "normal" food colouring, the colours will be paler and more likely to run.
What are you painting?

TeWiSavesTheDay Wed 20-Mar-13 17:21:59

DDs birthday cake. Just a flat basic cake with cut out shapes painted different colours, To look like a starry sky. I thought paint would be better for depth etc? Just seemed the easiest way for me as I am not great at cake decoration but I can draw pretty well! I've got my eye on a supermarket cake with no dairy in (because it's full of artificial crud) as a back up, but thought it would be good to give it a go.

I have gel colours and vodka so that's me sorted. grin

TeamEdward Wed 20-Mar-13 18:03:39

Alternatively, drink the vodka and then you won't give a shit about the cake! grin

TeWiSavesTheDay Wed 20-Mar-13 18:09:09

I wish! The foetus would object I suspect wink

Doubt it TeWi! Doctors and the Mail yes but suspect baby wouldn't mind a bit!

Over a day since someone posted?! shock Hope everyone is ok.

I've been having house problems - have had to have an electrician & a plumber round. Dh moaning about the price but I reckon it's worked out cheaper. If dh had been here he would've looked up the problem on the internet, gone out & bought whatever was recommended, tried it, wouldn't have worked, checked again, bought something else, cursed a bit, then got a professional in.

Nosey, how's your dad? Hope he's home and feeling better.

TeamEdward Fri 22-Mar-13 13:42:08

I'm ok. Busy with my short-term hedonism.
<eats another creme egg and ignores the washing up>

I've been eating jaffa cakes <eyes empty packet>

Hey all smile My parents are over, we're decorating the small bedroom and have been out to buy bookcases at long last! I am going to have a LIBRARY by the end of the weekend! Of course, it'll be a hell of a job to get all my books upstairs and on shelves, but we'll get there eventually...

evil, v envy of your library room, that's my dream

WhereChaosTheoryRules Fri 22-Mar-13 16:42:07

I found sleep! and men. But mostly sleep.

evilgiraffe Fri 22-Mar-13 17:54:12

Every house needs one, Tilly. It does feel rather extravagant, having a titchy two up-two down, and having a library, but I don't care grin

NoseyParker4aHusband Sat 23-Mar-13 10:54:58

Dad back home safe and sound, Tilly . tbh it is not so much the dad in hospital bit that is the problem its the having to chaperone my mum all day. (she is very unsteady on her feet, walks v.e.r.y slowley and refuses to use a walking stick angry It did turn out to be a very long day indeed. They only decided that my dad should actually stay in at 8.30pm! we had been at the hospital since 1130, so by the time I eventually got home after dropping mum back home and seeing she was ok it was nearly 10 oclock at night shock. Then had to go pick him up on Thurs lunchtime so that was another long drawn out process and I did not get back till just before the kids got back from school. I am keeping my fingers crossed that nothing major happens again any time soon (although with their ages I have my doubts sad

NoseyParker4aHusband Sat 23-Mar-13 10:56:27

Also v.envy of Evils library

WhereChaosTheoryRules Sat 23-Mar-13 17:10:49

I have cake. Feel free to help yourself. It's not up to the artistic qualities of team's cakes but they are yummy.

I cant believe you have a library, evil. I am so jealous!

evilgiraffe Sun 24-Mar-13 18:55:28

Library now contains three bookcases and one DVDcase, as well as DH's guitars artfully arranged in a corner. Also have a rocking office chair - hardly ideal or reading, but it is a chair! There are about twenty books in there, just another five hundred or so to move... It turns out that we have more films than I thought, too - DVDcase is already full, I shall have to get another. I will also need a couple more shelves, as IKEA seem to be assuming I only read giant tall books! When it's all one I'll put a picture on FB so you can seethe with jealousy more easily grin

TeamEdward Sun 24-Mar-13 18:57:58

Cracking GP, eh EG? I bet Webber is ripe for angrysex mightly pissed off.
