Is this book available in paperback or is it only available to buy on Kindle?

Can't help you Sphynx but the title of this book grabbed me as I often feel nothing like the other mummys I know-will check this one out for myself

That's one hell of a critique. Don't know about OP but consider it a job well done for me-am totally put off and easily swayed

Well I thought it was pretty awful too. A boring tale of an entitled middle-class London yummy mummy.

So glad you enjoyed, GambasAndCava - and yes I am the author! The book has been very well received smile

Um ... so, my post - which was a criticism (albeit negative) of the book, in response to the OP's request for views of those who had actually read it - has been removed.

At no point did it move anywhere near a defamation of the character of any poster, or of the author.

However, the post which asks whether I, in RL, am "bitchy" and "entitled", like characters in the story under discussion, is allowed to stand.

I am perplexed.

OK, have read back, and I see the OP didn't want an opinion as to whether to read the book, just whether it was available on Kindle. And the next poster simply expressed an interest in reading it.

Perhaps I should have kept my opinions to myself ...

On reflection, I clearly have become too used to the fine air of Free Speech that breezes through the Style and Beauty section: opinions are freely proffered there, and an adult ability to sift conflicting views is assumed by most.

Who'd have guessed that censorship would prevail here?

Can someone tell me if paper edition available? I do not have a kindle. I think it sounds like a fun read!

carparkmum Wed 23-Jan-13 08:45:30

Hi there. It's in paperback at Lulu smile

[shocked] at this thread. Since when were we not allowed to say what we think of a work of fiction!

Unacceptable Wed 23-Jan-13 11:06:12

Surprised to see this thread pop back up but I have to say I don't recall gathering post as being anything other than a pretty scathing review. I am baffled as to why it was deleted.

Was there a personal attack in that post?

Is a negative review of somebody's work deemed to be a personal attack?

I see gathering that you conceded in so far as the OP didn't ask for an opinion, but I feel you weren't breaking guidelines by offering one.

Maybe my memory is failing me (it was well over a week ago) but I am a bit confused over the deletions here...surely MN is a fantastic source of opinions, good and bad.

Or is the 'Adult fiction' section here only for brown nosing?
