I'm up for a meet at the beginning of feb, I think H is taking DS away on the 2nd. I won't be able to do weekdays but I could come up to London after 5pm?

My monies is a bit tight too (first month of being unemployed a lady of leisure), which is why I went for a date around DH's payday

Tuesday 5th is best for me, but I will probably have DS2 with me.

Feb the better date for me as well I think.

In case any of you Kirk-McCoy fans out there haven't noticed, Lindmere has posted another instalment of her Geography series (the one where Jim is a film star). The series starts with Tallulah Falls, the next part is Topanga Canyon, and the most recent part is River Junction. She's a great writer, I love these stories even if they are rather wishful thinking (movie stars never fall in love with Joe Public and run off into the sunset with them, do they?).

I read fearless, it was good. I am hopelessly behind on Hols now, but once dh is back at work I will begin my catch-up. I have been catching up on sleep, which is always good, but miss reading fic at my usual ridiculous pace.

Happy new year all, hope 2013 brings us all what we're hoping for.

We were exceedingly lame.last night, in bed by 1030 . Not in any great hurry to usher in the year in which I turn 40 21.

Been enjoying most of the Hols fits lately, they've definitely improved in quality as the fest has gone on.

We decided to have early food and drinks so that people could bring kids and still go out afterwards. Consequently, we had a lovely, friend-filled evening which quietened to six of us by about 10.30. There are some very sore heads this morning. I think we'll do this every year. <ignores piles of washing up>

Happy new year everyone! I had a fabulous evening last night, good friends and lots of cocktails and pizza and good music and a crappy film and much giggling and conversation until 2.30am. Then this morning we all had coffee and bacon and went for a walk, now everyone has gone home, the dishwasher is on, so DH and I are chilling

I think we'll be having an early night tonight though!

Happy New Year! We stayed up late, and all got up late. Tomorrow dh is back to work, so back to normal hours for us all. Hopefully once the dc are back at school they will have more normal waking/sleeping times again.

Happy new year! I have burnt enough midnight oil this week with ds3, so did not stay up to see the new year in. But am hoping for great things from 2013. (like, maybe sleeping more than 2 hours at a time?)

Evil, thank you for mentioning about Dan Rad presenting HIGNFY. He was so funny, and sweet, I am quite in love with him again. And there were HP jokes.

Started off yesterday with a trip to the GP and a viral chest infection diagnosis, now on a fuckton of steroids and inhalers but feeling better for it. We had another family around for new years pizza & a movie, all guests gone by 8pm. Everything served on paper plates and cups so no clear up needed! Then we packed bags and were in bed by 10.30. Twas bliss.

Drove to Wales this morning on almost deserted roads, spent the afternoon building playmobil and now vegging on the sofa with mums net and mince pies.

I wish you all a happy, healthy and fulfilling 2013. I am glad to see the back of 2012, my annus horribilus, and have quiet expectations for the next twelve months. Be happy people, and remember that good enough is good enough.

DH has promised me an iPad 4 when he can buy one cheap through his work. Only another 6-8 months wait...

Oh, and having felt reasonably satisfied that the dc had nice quiet presents this year...last gift they open are electric guitars from sil! Gah!

I'm probably not available for TSA meet up, I forgot but the car needs it's MOT at the end of thr month and 99% it will be ludicrous expensive!

Has been a busy holidays here. Good food, good friends and I even rather enjoyed watching First Twilight film the other day. And I'd only had one glass of wine . Not enough reading though - am way behind on HDHols.

I can't do midweek meet-ups, could maybe swing the next weekend meet-up.
