Here's to a non-sucky thread!
to that!
to anything, frankly
I'm more of a
woman meself, but I'll drink to it anyway.
Lurgy is progressing nicely by turning into laryngitis
Makes teaching interesting when you can't speak.
I'll also drink
to that. I suspect that I now actually lack blood and am merely running on caffine. Otoh the biscuits have come out lovely <leaves plateful on side>
Hope you feel better soon and get you voice back quickly never.
Pengiun hope chick settles down from jet lag quickly.
Non-suckiness ahoy.
Wahoo!
DS has hearing test tomorrow. Failed in the heridatory hearing loss range last time, so fingers crossed he's just an uncooperative monkey, and a pass tomorrow. (which is what DD did...)
Hurrah! <raises glass>
<clinks glass with evil>
TeWi, how old is DS now?
I could murder a sherry or two right now. I'm going to raid the booze cupboard...
Sorry to disturb - may I ask what TSA means?
I know what twat means
Nearly 3000 words done now!
Niggle, TSA is Twi-sluts anonymous, which we abbreviate to avoid offending the gentler souls on MN. It refers to our illustrious beginnings, when we perved over Edward Cullen. These days, we perve over anyone, alive, dead, undead, fictional, non-fictional, it's all fair game. Having said that, we mostly are just nice to each other and read a lot of fanfiction.
Hello!
I think you may have another thread title there evil, although perhaps it lacks the surreality of other titles.
"we mostly are just nice to each other and read a lot of fanfiction"
And there I was thinking you meant "alive, dead, undead, fictional, non-fictional, it's all fair game"
To be honest I think we peaked with the sparklejizz title, and that was a LONG time ago <fond memories> We're just a bit too wholesome these days (relatively speaking).
Hahaha sounds like a fun corner :D The general perving sounds good, Edwards a bit too shiny for me ^^
Well, if it helps, I'm currently loving reading Star Trek Jim/Bones slashfic, in which my brain usually casts the lovely Chris Pine as Kirk. I also write the occasional short ST fic, though my back catalogue is more Twilight and Harry Potter.
Tilly joins me in the ST love, but I think we're the only ones. Pretty much everyone likes Harry/Draco Harry Potter fic, and several of us write it. Team likes to suggest truly terrible matches such as Rongonagall and Flitgrid.
You are more than welcome to stay!
Fuuuuuuckit! I just uninstalled my browser app because it kept crashing but I forgot to export my bookmarks. Gah!
My fanfiction origins are a bit like an old relationship. There was the headiness of novelty when I first discovered Twific and a shared love of the Pretty. Then we started to drift apart and my eyes wandered to other fandoms. I broke up with Twific and rebounded with Sara's Girl (she's not willing to commit to writing the amount of fic I want, I just get the occasional 30k word booty call.) Now, I'm pleasantly nostalgic about Twific but unable to recall why I loved it so much in the first place. Me and Potterfic, though? I think that's for keeps
I shall link again to the R4 programme on this week (a couple of days left to listen to it) on fanfiction, as a kind-of introduction: When Harry Potter met Frodo.
I haven't read much fic recently, but I'm excited that HD Holidays starts on Saturday.
Speaking of our pervy illustrious beginnings, did we miss our threadiversary? Isn't it around now?
Also, we welcome all to join us. If you like fanfiction/ gay wizards / star fleet officers / vampires / or just romance with familiar-spnding characters. Fans of 50 shades of grey will be re-educated tolerated.
Teehee I've resisted the shades so far... well I read a few lines randomly picked from the middle, and decided I could live without it. I am a bit disturbed I must be alot older than some of you, cos Harry Potter is a little boy to me - now Aragorn on the other hand.... <drifts off for a moment>
It is nice to find somewhere on mumsnet where people are being nice
Must be Neon because I seem to remember missing it thanks to the Chick's impromptu appearance, and he's 2 on Mon
. I'm thinking the 8th maybe?
