I don't know if this has been done before but with all the free content on kindle and some
Of it being dire I thought a thread could help find great books at great prices.

I also thought that people could say 'this book is only 20p - has anyone read it is it good?

I started it because

James Herbert - Ash
Is only 20p and I have bought it today
Please post your bargains!

Fantastic elkiedee! I have been wanting to read Winter in Madrid for ages now. I'm really chuffed, love CJ Sansom.

I'm reading this at the moment:

99p for kindle. I'm halfway through and I'm really enjoying it. It is very well written - a bit like a grown up woman's chick lit.

Just thought I would let anyone know who is interested that "the lost daughter" by Diane Chamberlain is 99p today... I'm not sure how long for!

I read this a while back and it was fab, a real gripping read! smile

This book by Amanda Grange is free today. The blurb says it would appeal to anyone who likes Georgette Heyer. I've read one other book by her and liked it, so worth a go I think smile

Capital by John Lanchester is now 20p on Amazon Kindle. Just grabbed a copy while the offer lasts smile

elkiedee Thu 17-Jan-13 18:34:56

Duchess, you got there before me - I borrowed it from the library last year but had it on my books I wouldn't mind having my own copy of wishlist, but I hadn't hoped for 20p.

Rosy George's Convention Conundrum is one of the best 'chicklits' I've read in ages ... it's 77p on Amazon at the moment. www.amazon.co.uk/Rosy-Georges-Convention-Conundrum-ebook/dp/B008OZENS8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358526881&sr=8-1 - really summery and escapist!

Pocketmonster Fri 18-Jan-13 16:41:39

The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared is only 20p - and whilst it is an odd title, I am really enjoying it!

www.amazon.co.uk/Hundred-Year-Old-Climbed-Window-Disappeared-ebook/dp/B008D30K7E/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1358527210&sr=1-2

I second the Hundred Year old Man...I thought I would find the style annoying but I am 80% through it and I have to say it is a delightful read.

Sunne in Splendour by Sharon Penman is 74p at the moment!
