I don't know if this has been done before but with all the free content on kindle and some
Of it being dire I thought a thread could help find great books at great prices.
I also thought that people could say 'this book is only 20p - has anyone read it is it good?
I started it because
James Herbert - Ash
Is only 20p and I have bought it today
Please post your bargains!
oh great idea marking my place!
me too.
And me! We're not being terribly helpful though, are we?
Shame on you all
Just looking through - a few James Herbert books are only 95p ATM. I've never even read any by him yet but I now own three lol
Perfect people was 20p. I'm not sure it still is but it was excellent.
Also David Baldacci zero hour was 20 p a couple of weeks ago. It was excellent. A bit like a young Jack Reacher.
Sorry for any typos, on my phone on the bus!
Oh that's good! I keep looking at zero hour and wondering!
If you like Kate Morton, then The Forgotten Garden is a kindle bargain atm.
other 20p books - The Expats by Chris Pavone, Sarah Thornhill by Kate Grenville.
One of the June Thompson's is only 99p - she does a kind of recreation of 'lost' Sherlock Holmes novels, so good if you like that kind of thing.
here
Brilliant idea for a thread, OP, thanks. have just bought The Forgotten Garden.
The House at Riverton is only 99p, if anyone's not read it. I loved it. The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf is also 99p and was fairly good, from what I remember.

Thanks, just downloaded the forgotten garden.
For anyone that doesn't know, there is a daily e-mail send out by ereaderiq which has loads of free kindle books on. I've got loads of good free ones from there.
Just finished the Henchmens book club by Danny King. Light hearted action book, I enjoyed it. I've also read Past imperfect and Emperors Edge both good reads, both free when I downloaded.
I read a book called Max by DM Mitchell which was free (was the only reason I chose it) and I thought it was really good.
Dana Stabenow books are excellent, the first in the Kate Shugak (Cold Day for Murder) and the Liam Cambell (Fire and Ice) series are free. She has a series about Star Svensdottir which is SciFi rather than crime thriller, but tbh I didn't think it was as good. The first in that series is free too, so you could try it if you like the others.

Highlight of my day
If you like that sort of thing Zombie Fallout is only 77p and is a cracking storyline, with humour as well as horror.
I love the Dana Stabenow books. They are set in Alaska and everyday life is so different there that I find it fascinating.
Monday to friday manby Alice Peterson was funny chicklit, light read for 20p
...Friday Man by...
The Rock Star's Daughter is a teen book which I read because it was free, and I really enjoyed it. There are more books in the series at 99p each.
