The Wicked Girls by Alex Marwood
2 girls imprisoned for murder when they were young....25 years later they meet again.
Very good...read it in 2 days.
I really enjoyed it - thought it was very clever indeed

Ms Williams who writes for Guardian?
I'm probably way off the mark, but AM is journalist, lives in S London (I think), and parts of the book are very, very funny in a ZW type way.

This was one of the books I read on holiday it was brilliant, read it in a couple of days. I thought Amber was from the poor family too. I also read S J Watson Before I go to sleep another brilliant psycho thriller.

Not sure re. Williams. Her pregnancy book was pretty dire.

Just finished reading Finders Keepers by Belinda Bauer, the third in the series set in Shipcott on Exmoor. Chilling and utterly brilliant. The other two are Blaclands and Dark Side. Must be read in order.

Don't read Julia Crouch's second book - or at least, be warned if you do that it deteriorates fast......

Thanks for the Julia Crouch heads up...the ending wasn't brilliant on Cuckoo so will steer clear. Am loving Blacklands, truly engrossing.

Thanks mrsrobert, I've just finished it and I really enjoyed it
I'm coming to the end of The Playdate by Louise Millar.
From the premise I expected something that was "brain off, chewing gum for the eyes" chick lit reading, but I've been really surprised and pleased with it. Definitely recommended.
Thanks for these recommendations.
I enjoyed cuckoo. Thought when I go to sleep was a bit far fetched.

Also loved The Playdate and have just finished The Perfect Mother which had me gripped from the get go by Margaret Leroy.
Thought Cuckoo was a bit silly but I will give Playdate a go.

Quite tempted with the Wicked Girls. Is it gory/very detailed ? I need to be able to sleep afterwards !

I bought The Playdate on recommendation.
It was not that great. Two of the main characters were unlikeable. Bored me to tears.

Thought When I Go To Sleep was intriguing but not always believable (must have taken hours to read the diary everyday!)
Best psychological thriller I have read in past 2 months was Black is the Colour by Helen Howe (it's set in an area near where I live and had some good music references too).

Just finished Tideline by Penny Hancock. I was gripped but felt extremely let down and distraught with the ending
