Been reading this series since about 1991 - nearly half my life at this stage. Cant wait til Tuesday but they aren't bringing out the e-reader/kindle version until May so I'll have to lug the hardback on the train with me every day. At least I can use my very snazzy "Turn the Wheel of Time" cotton bag I won to carry it (shameless boast )
A friend who is also a fan recommended listening to the books - she said that because you've got the same narrators throughout the series it distracts from the fact that Brandon Sanderson does have a different voice to RJ.I don't think he has quite got Matt myself. <goes off to see if book can be preordered from Amazon yet...>
Yes definitely I do. I think or I hope it works. The new author jars slightly with some characters - not quite got things right but hopefully it'll be ok at the end!!! I started reading these books about ten years ago! I've invested a lot of time
I am listening to them as audiobooks on my iPod - I wanted to re-read but couldn't see it happening, but I do want to be up to date for Memory Of Light to get the full impact! I do really really want to know what happens, but I also want what happens to be the right thing,IYSWIM?
The End really is nigh, isn't it? I'm excited too - I have been reading The Wheel of Time for what seems like my entire life, and finally it is concluding. The only downside is that I'm sure there will be loose ends, and I'm not sure I can cope with that ...
