Just read Before I go to sleep, which was great as it got the group back on track and all reading the book to the end. We have had a few members reading a book and telling the others not too bother as its rubbish!!!!! Could do with some suggestions of some cracking books. Thanks.

We just did The Sisters Brothers by Patrick de Witt. Wasn't a particularly popular choice when suggested, but without fail, we all loved it. Brilliant book, quick to read, fast paced, interesting, short chapters....best book I've read in a long time.
The Help. It is a fabulous book. I finished it in a day because I couldn't put it down.

I have The Help on my to read pile....I actually have so much stuff to read, I get quite excited but then get cross with myself for wasting time doing other things when I could be reading!

Our club just read Witness by Cath Staincliff, which was a brisk read, we all finished it and there was a fair bit to talk about. We tend not to go for anything too literary in January as we all feel a bit fragile.
Another one we all loved was American Wife.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has a "to be read" pile! The Help really is awesome. I loved it.

Something Might Happen by Julie Myerson is a reet good page turner and well enough written to be worth discussing.
I have a "to be read" bookcase but yet I have still just ordered Before I Go To Sleep

The Sense of an Ending is only 150 pages and has provoked our longest discussion to date. Agree that the Help is very good and Me Before You by Jojo Moyes is longer than The Sense of an Ending but very good and easy to read.
