"Flurking"? My ARSE.
lol
And what a fine arse it is EG!
i'd like to see team's definition of flurking.
Crawled out of sick bed to say thanks for the rec aleene. I shall bask in you reflected glory.
On the plus side, a day in bed allowed me to finally read With Teeth. Had started it a couple of times but never got past the first chapter. What was wrong with me? It was freaking amaxing!
EG: Ask if there's a doctor at your surgery with a special interest in Family Planning. Then ask them insist they refer you to your local fertility clinic. And agree, take your DH.
Team: has Lent finished where you live?
12 DAYS!!!
No, Lent has not finished. But I saw mah 'Sluts were in need and rushed to start a new thread their aid.
Now I shall disappear again until you all start posting some damn fine Robporn Sunday.
Neon: did you you ever read that hot QHUAY Fan Fiction? I'm re-reading it whilst waiting for LU.
I hoe you feel better by the way.
EG: Have you tried Clomid? That is what I was on.
Hey y'all. Am back from my boring night out. Would rather have stayed home withthe sluts
<giddy at blog exposure> You must all know that when I said "I did my research" this means I went across and checked with the chicken keepers! Oops, spoiler alert...
Evil, I wish I was closer. I'm a total bitch when it comes to doctors
. And I cry too, if necessary. I may have to get on a plane...
I have just come back from visiting a neighbour who, in the last month, has had a house fire, split up from her husband, and her dad has died. So I did the responsible thing and brought a bottle of wine and got drunk with her. I don't drink. It is about 2 years since I had a drink. My head hurts like buggery already and I have promised DD to take her shopping tomorrow for holiday clothes. Bother.
<tuts> at Team. (But glad she has dutifully started a new thread)
Drunken hugs all round.
Evening - I have been out (watching Elbow - swoonsome) and won't be going to bed for a while though I should (work in the morning).
I've been skimming the thread and reading about EG's ttc issues. I just wanted to add my two pennorth.
Evil, my situation was kind of similar tho' I was a bit older than you are, I think (I was 30 when I came off the pill. No periods for 6 months followed by diagnosis of polycystic ovaries (GP sent me for a scan) and another 10 months ttc before I fell pregnant (GP had already referred me to O & G but I was pg before it came through). What helped me was charting my cycle/testing my mucous [
- I felt like I at least had some control and I think it really did help (at least I got DH to perform at the right time!).
Did you say you had a PCOS diagnosis? There's also some stuff you can do around diet - basically you need to go low GI/combat insulin resistance and this helps bring your hormone profile back into line. It's really hard not to get anxious when you've made up your mind that you need to get pg. Hope this helps - sorry I don't know you very well, and I hope you don't think I'm intruding, but tonights posts struck a chord xx
Flaming Twitter! I have just changed my name. I'm not Honorella - have changed to @Lemon Charlotte - please note!
I am worried that someone from rl who I want to avoid might have spotted me on Twitter hence the change. I like my new name and am thinking of changing it on MN....
As you were.
I wouldn't go so far as to say I had a PCOS "diagnosis". The doctor said I had PCOS based on me being fat and a bit spotty before my cycles restarted. It seemed very much like guesswork. Since my cycles have been religiously 27-28 days since they came back, I am doubtful.
I had a good cry last night, as I discovered my "status" before I went to bed. Today is cycle day two, cycle eight.

Team, you are the worst flurker ever.
And we love it.
Oh Evil.
<Snuggles evil. Hard.>
Evil - lots and lots of love to you. Please go back to the doctor. As sad as it is, I really think taking your DH along too so it's two people sat there saying 'we want help' is a great idea and may give the doc a kick up the arse.
This is to brighten everyone's morning and to say THANK YOU to aleene
And by sad I clearly don't mean, 'pathetic', I mean sad it has to come to the point where you need to bring in the heavies IYSWIMAITY'D.
In fact I'm feeling ranty now about the British cavalier attitude to health now. Grrr.
Although I do dearly love our NHS.
