does anyone have any experience of this they can share with me please ?

i have one DS who is nearly five.

due to birth complications and further health issues, i have been strongly advised that another pregnancy would be extremely dangerous.

it took me nearly three years to accept that there would be no more children.

now i cannot accept it. i ache, physically hurt for another child. i try to occupy myself and stay busy and find lots of reasons why not to but i cannot do it any longer. i need another child

i know i should be grateful for what i do have, and i am , truly grateful for him. i thank god for him every day

but i cannot stop this ache any more

i want a surrogate to carry my baby. our embryo implanted. a donor womb if you will

anyone know the legal side of this, the practical implications, anything at all

TIA xx

I think there was an earlier thread on surrogacy in teh adoption category maybe a coupleof months ago. I'm sure it refered to an organisation to contact.

Contact cots - (Childlessness overcome through surrogacy). They will be able to give you the information you need.I have a DD via straight surrogacy so may be able to answer your questions via CAT . Good luck in the persuit of your dream.

Good luck in your journey. I too have a 5 yr old child and due to medical negligence am unable to have another child. I have just about accepted this however I think DH is still considering exploring alternatives. I really feel for you .. you have to do whats right for your family

Take care

I had surrogate twins for friends 4 months ago. COTs or SurrogacyUK or even MicarclesDoHappen websites are very helpful. I know the list of couples waiting to be chosen at COTs is not very long at the moment so haopefully if you joined with them you wouldn;t have too much of a wait.

Best of luck.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
