I want to get my boys (aged 6 and 4) a gift they can keep forever for their celebration day. Anyone have any ideas. I am lost...

My ds has a wooden spoon with his name and DOB etched/burnt into the back. You can have it done or DIY with a soldering iron you could do their name and special date on them. Different but personal
and big congrats Smile

A framed family photo taken on the day?

Our celebration day is Tues and we have bought our son a record of a meaningful song and we are going to frame it.

We did nothing but went to a photograph studio on High Street and got some family photos done. Actually - I felt surprisingly emotional on the day and got quite teary because I kept on thinking of his birth family - even though we had officially been a family for 3 weeks. I like the wooden spoon idea.

Can I ask, if you are invited to attend the celebration, is it etiquette to take a gift? And would it be a gift for the child or for the family?

Hi. Many congrats! How long did it take you Mums out there to go from matching with a child to the child living with you, and then to the adoption order celebration?

Sorry Blossom, I got that bit! I was wondering if guests invited to celebrate took gifts and if so, who for?

I recently went to my friends Celebration Day, and I bought the little girl a rag doll, and had her new name embroidered on the dolls cape. (My friend kept the original name but added two of her own),
