We have just had confirmation that we have made it onto the next stage. I need to tell everyone because I'm sat here on my own. Sending a text to hubby is really not the same as shouting and screaming in excitement.
If anyone has any help or advice to help us through this stage would be much appreciated. I'm sure you lovely bunch will have some wonderful tips.

Your excitement is lovely to read :)
Congratulations.
What is stage 2? Are you moving on to your home assessment, or have you been approved?

Thankyou swash stage 2 is the home assessment and they also want to know the ins and outs of our entire lives lol. About our childhood relationships with families how we were disciplined and what we got from it and what we would and wouldn't bring into a Childs life. Plus loads more.
My head hurts thinking of it all lol. GrinConfused

Congratulations, we are part way through. After each session with the SW we have gone for lunch/dinner to talk about the conversation with each other. SW seems to like the fact we do that, no other advice as I think all SW are different. Try to relax, but whilst remembering you are being assessed. Ours likes biscuits!
I am sure others with more experiencewill have much better advice.

I was very happy when we got the phone call saying we could go to stage 2. It whizzed by too, I found the sessions quite therapeutic too! Well done :)

Congratulations. Just be yourselves, be honest and work with the social workers if there are any issues, concerns etc (which I am sure there will not be).

Good luck.
