DD was 10 months.
Follow the FC - take their advice and ask ask ask!! Our FC was super and never made any assumptions that we knew anything at all. So first bath she did and we watched. Second bath we did and she watched. Same with nappies, feeding etc.
We had "instructions" in terms of routine, ideas for food etc. if you aren't given anything like that I would write it down. That got me through the first couple of weeks at home when I felt like I was in some parallel universe!
If you have any concerns, raise them. No such thing as a daft question and all that... If you want to amend intros speak with FC and discuss - we did to shorten intros/change plans etc.
My advice for any intros is meal plan for you - either batch cook, takeaways etc. it was the most exhausting week of our lives. Make the most of a rest day if it's written into the intros week. Use it to buy last minute items and have a lie in!!
Don't be afraid to use pouches etc when you're getting into a routine at home. Ella's kitchen food pouches were my saviour :)
Oh and on the last day make sure you have discussed what you will do with the FC. It's emotional for everyone and the FC may have a way in which they want to do it. For DD it was a lovely morning but then when it was time to go it was over quickly. FC wanted to put her in car seat and then us go. Heartbreaking actually.
And if you're lucky to have lovely FC drop them a line in the first week to let them know all is well :)
Good luck - exciting
