Just wanted to say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays! smile
I lurk here often, have communicated offline with one or two of you and thanks very much for the support.
Wishing all of our families the best of everything over the next 10 days and onwards into 2012! smile

Hey Dasiy and Merry Christmas to you too smile

I feel very good right now...I've finished the cleaning and the shopping!! (being veggie means no last minute turkey and meat shop yippee!!). I have a bottle of wine out in the kitchen now, and I'm wondering at what time of day is it socially acceptable to open it?? grin

My christmas list still consists of Peace, Quiet, Harmony and Rachel McAdams.... ah well, at least DD2 will be as disappointed as me sicne the expensive phone she wants will not be materializing either grin

Merry Christmas everybody!

That's disappointing about the phone Lilka, I am with you on the Peace, Quiet and Harmony - we have the total opposite here currently, however a 2 week break from the meetings with professionals may help that along! But regarding Rachel McAdams - gift wrapped or not? wink
I have not done my food shopping yet, at work til 5pm so saving that delight for tonight!
DS1 (11) yesterday helped DH wrap some presents and then looked at him in total panic and asked how on earth we would get them to Santa to deliver - boy am I pleased I didn't have my "look DS1, can you keep a secret, it's about Santa ........." chat as I had initially planned! Was in tears when DH told me about it.....
It's the most magical time of the year.......... grin
Lets hope our wishes for peace come to fruition and we can compare notes afterwards! x

Oh don't worry about the phone-she-will-not-be-getting Daisy grin I'm not concerned in the slightest about refusing to buy her one. If she did have one, this is what would happen (though not necessarily in this order)

1. Dropped down the stairs
2. Dropped in the sink
3. Thrown at someone (ie. me)
4. Lost
5. Inappropriate texting
6. Inappropriate photos
7. Unmonitered facebook on phone = disaster

and that's just what I thought of off the top of my head grin I have told her this, in the nicest way possible, but she doesn't want to hear it...

Bless DS1, so sweet, but it's hard when they don't grow out of Santa at the normal time like other kids do...I told DD2 when she came to live with me, but she is so immature that she'd stilll be clinging on at 15 if she hadn't been told

And I'll have Rachel gift wrapped please, with some champagne and fancy lingerie included grin

Have a great time everyone smile

would I look like a total old gimmer if I admit I have no idea who Rachel McAdams is?

DS is so excited he may well explode before Xmas, which would be a shame.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas Kew and all the lovely Mums on this thread! smile

Merry Christmas to you all smile
I have two very over-excited little girls here. dd2 keeps shrieking, "Is Santa here yet?". I fear we will get very little sleep over the next 48 hours...

Of course, there is nothing I would rather do than celebrate Christmas with two little girls. It makes everything worthwhile smile

Happy Christmas to all of you too.

Christmas is looking good for us this year (see my boasting thread grin). Currently dd (age 15) and ds2 (age 13) are watching Alvin and the Chipmunks and asking me what Father Christmas is bringing them confused.

I miss the true Santa days, but mine still bring their stockings into our bedroom at silly o'clock to open them and then go back to bed until lunchtime

It's a wonderful time of year to have children, adopted or not. I hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow, thanks for all the chat and support for the last year, and wishing everyone the very best for 2012 smile.
