What team do you support?

(28 Posts)

Just watched my home team (Leyton Orient) lose at Wembley. DH is a Liverpool supporter, but my DC were in tears over the loss. Most of the kids round here (we aren't in the UK) support Man U or Chelsea, although football/soccer isn't as big tbf.

Football is the wrong shaped ball

Tigers (right shaped ball!)

DH is a QPR fan first and foremost as his Grandad was a season ticket holder and he used to go every week as a kid. He also has a soft spot for Man U much to my disgust.

I support Luton, its been trying times for us for the last 30 years really.

DS supports Arsenal and Real Madrid.

They both had very happy weekends.

Got promoted too.

My team has probably lost at wembley more than most. Thought leyton orient played well but have to say i will enjoy an away to rotherham. Hope your dc feel better tomorrow. Bluebirds.

Hopefully no Rotherham supporters are on here, or I might cry. <still bitter>

This is a Spurs household.

I like Arsenal [ love Wenger].

We hold season tickets for Shrewsbury, now that's shite!

Have to be honest, it was a good game. Thought we'd win first half (well, 2-0 does that to you) but Rotherham played more skilfully overall, I think. I was at the edge of my seat for the penalties.

We're shouting out loud we love you Leeds Leeds Leeds

My siblings however are glory supporters

I was hoping Leyton Orient would win today. Last time I saw them play they were two whole leagues below my team (Portsmouth) and crushed us so comprehensively in the FA Cup that we gave in and cheered their last goal, their fans deserved it. It was a truly low point before we got swept up in promotions and FA Cup runs and a win, the Uefa cup and then administration and relegation after relegation, such a roller coaster. That FA Cup game really sticks in my memory as a turning point.

I was cheering for Rotherham as I grew up near there

*leyton sorry stupid auto correct

I grew up in the West Coast of Scotland, where the question "what team do you support" has a deeper meaning.

But since I met DH (diehard City fan) and moved here, I am no longer careful with my reply, and can say I support Man City smile

Spurs by birth, WestHam by marriage.

BigcatLittlecat Sun 25-May-14 20:28:41

I support the other shaped ball. Cardiff Blues season ticket holder here!

ILiveOnABuildsite Sun 25-May-14 20:29:47

Burton Albion woohoo! They're at Wembley tomorrow against Fleetwood. Hoping for a promotion even though it means we'll probably not get to go see as many games.

Go Brewers!

Acciosanity Sun 25-May-14 20:43:50

The mighty Hull City, proud FA Cup runners up.

HannahLaRouge Sun 25-May-14 20:47:41

Another Burton Albion supporter here!! And derby county :s so hoping the brewers can make up for the rams disappointment!

FudgeyCookie Sun 25-May-14 21:01:22

Another one who prefers the other shaped ball!

Exeter chiefs for me. Nice to see a tigers and cardiff fan on here!

Nottingham Forest though I use the term 'support' loosely, more a family allegiance. I'm one of those who only watches the internationals!

Lestagirl Sun 25-May-14 21:08:27

Season ticket holders for the foxes.

Ds has been watching the play offs. Rotherham scored an amazing goal today and deserved to win for that alone.

Glad qpr won over derby. But glad we stuffed both of them and went up as champions.

PiggyPlumPie Sun 25-May-14 21:11:58

Ah looks like I'm the lone Derby fan!

Gutted but will be stronger next season. Well done QPR!

WhereTheWildlingsAre Sun 25-May-14 21:12:49

It's been Liverpool in our family for 4 generations!

Had a season ticket for most of my life, but gave it up when dd came along 3 years ago.

Went up for the parade last Sunday with my Dad, popped in the Blackstock and we both got a bit misty eyed about how much we miss it.sad
