penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

omg is this normal?

(15 Posts)
ds has dropped off to sleep on the sofa next to me. He is butt nakid because were potty training..... his willy is hard and pointing at me and has been so for the past 5 mins. blush

surely he is too young!?! he is 2.5 btw.
lol well a few weeks back he managed to trap it in a dvd case.... ouch!
normal. Wait till he comes in proudly with a bottle top stuck on the end grin
I can't believe only 5% are perpetual fiddlers grin...or perhaps it increases with age?!

DS loves to tell me that his willy is getting bigger, and nearly made his 9yo female cousin die of giggles when he told her it was bigger (she sensibly and maturely said "well, you are a bigger boy" and he said "No! bigger than it was in the bath a minute ago!")

sigh...
Yes my DS is one one of the perpetual fiddlers and seems to have dont so from quite early on.
Very normal. Wait till he starts telling you how big it is, like ds2 who is 3.5 grin

Definitely normal and sure to carry on and increase in frequency!

DS (5) often has it and has done since infancy and is one of the 'perpetual fiddlers' that Lenin mentions. Luckily he seems to confine it to the house!

Shocked the hell out of me at first and I was too embarrassed to ask if it was normal!
Perfectly normal..DS (6) always has this first thing in the morning!

BTW, we gave DS1 lots of no nappy time at this age and I wonder if he got him over the fiddling stage a bit quicker than others say theirs did (for now, I know it'll be back with vengeance in the future!).

OTOH someone else said that about 5% of boys are just perpetual fiddlers and you just have to teach them to do so more privately as they get older. We didn't make a big deal of it and it passed.

I got a bit of shock first time I changed DS's nappy in night and was confronted with this! I had no idea they started so young!

'Fraid it gets worse: DS (3) sits watching TV with his hand in his pants. Has to be constantly reminded that he shouldn't do so in company!
lol he is holding it now...... i spose this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

off to pop him in his cot. dd is starting to take notice.

lol sorry if i sounded stupid.... he has had it before when i have changed his nappy in the night but it usually goes down straight away..

i suppose im just not used to willies. lol.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
