Just opened freezer it's totally frosty and like the middle of winter?

I can't open any drawers?

Will I take everything out then defrost it? Them put everything back in?

What's happened?

I'm normally intelligent!!

Happened to me once, something had stopped the freezer door from completely closing - although it seemed to close fine and look ok etc.

Check the seal carefully. And stay away from Baked Alaska!

What's baked Alaska? Not like blue waffle?!!

We've had this when the door wasn't closed properly.

As long as everything is still frozen, just make sure the door seals now, and defrost it when you've run the contents down a bit.

Took everything out. Blasted hair dryer over worst bits then stuck everything back in

Fingers crossed

Oh this happened to me a few weeks ago but ours has shelves not drawers.

I pulled out what food I could and chipped the ice off with a butter knife. Was that wrong? I may have sung Frozen Heart while I was doing it

ChubbyKitty I haven't tried the knife thing because I remember reading a story as a child about a man who died when an ice shard went through his eye!

My taste in reading was a bit gruesome for a 9 year old, and the tale stayed with me, even though it's probably an urban myth grin

Oh god. I hope it was a myth shock

I'll probably never do that again haha!

Baked Alaska is to do with last nights Bake Off!! wink
