Do you start to type a response to a thread then think......

Oh fuck it! and give up?

I have seen and am seeing threads where I think my opinion or thoughts might be worthy of note then discard giving my thought as I can't be arsed to wade in.

MajesticWhine Mon 18-Aug-14 21:41:12

I do this all the time. Usually when I realise I probably have very little of worth to contribute.

Yeah, all the time. Judging by the responses, it's probably a good thing, imagine how many extra posts there would be every day otherwise shock

I nearly did it with this reply too, but thought I ought to commit to it, given the subject matter grin

Sometimes its good to write stuff down to get it off your chest.
Sometimes I write proper GF responses and tease myself hovering over the 'post' button.
Sometimes I just decide I don't actually give a shit.

riverboat1 Mon 18-Aug-14 21:45:16

Yeah, usually because although I honestly believe what I've typed I know someone will take issue with it and there's no point getting into an argument about it because it will come down to semantics and hair splitting and nothing I could say would ever induce them to change their mind even a tiny bit. Fight club mentality.

Flossiex2 Mon 18-Aug-14 21:45:27

Yes just think can't be arsed or I'm going to say what everyone else has already said.

TheRainDrops Mon 18-Aug-14 21:45:27

Literally just did it now on this thread but then thought I'd better re-write a reply so you'd know. grin

Dontgotosleep Mon 18-Aug-14 21:45:43

Yeah because sometime I know exactly what I want to say and I'm talking in person IRL. (I have to be I'm a receptionist not allowed my off days and quiet right too). but now and again when it's written down it makes no bloody sense.Probably like this post. Sometimes I can be there looking at my comment for ages thinking do I release it. Is it okay. Does it make sense.
