What should I be looking out for? I think I've seen the toilet roll mentioned on here before as being good value. Anything else?

Toys, especially vTech and Tomy.

Pyrex cookware for £2.99.

Kimberley ginger biscuits, so good!

Those Toilet Ducks things ( you attach to the handle, swish round then flush)

I have Ulcerative colitis (TMI there)
2 loos and those eco-flush cisterns (ie, small)

£3 in Sainsburys
£1.69 in HB wink

Calypso dry oil sun protection spray.
Can't remember how much but its comparitively cheap and smells divine.

Toys are good value. I've picked up a few for my present cupboard, which have been good value.

Koka noodles - 4 for £1. Stir fry flavour is great smile.

Any of the Calypso sun products. Their factor 50 suncream came out top in the recent Which? tests, it did better than the £££ brands - £2 a tube at HB and smells like coconuts.

Toys, our HB has got those 'blingles' studios for 6.99, and the Hello Kitty cool cardz sets for a fiver !

Great news on the sun products. I'm not going on my summer holiday until October so can stock up.

Jars/packets of Pataks curry sauce - 80p or so as opposed to £1.50 ish in the supermarkets.

Those triple plug in air fresheners - £1.99 instead of about £4.

Douwe Egberts coffee - instant and cafetiere.

Much much more - I do really well there when I've got about £12 to last in the week before payday!

500ml bottles of sparkling spring water, 19p each or six for a pound

Cadburys Crunchems, 49p

Microwave rice (especially the Mexican variety), 49p

Salon Selectives dry shampoo, 49p

...and about a billion other things grin

TheReluctantCountess Mon 18-Aug-14 20:23:38

Home Bargains is ace.

0pheliaBalls Mon 18-Aug-14 20:24:02

Argh the Choc'n'Rolls are 10p, sorry

TheJiminyConjecture Mon 18-Aug-14 20:25:17

If you live near me (south coast) the Home Bargains that just opened had barely anything left on the shelves. I thought it might have been the start of the zombie apocalypse when I popped in!

Mayflower curry mix, it comes in a box, about the size of a ready meal. You will never look back smile

Stocking filler/party bag type things - character face cloths, hair slides etc for kids, pencils, rubbers, stickers etc

They also can be good for toys that aren't selling as well as retailers thought - my daughter got a whole pack of large Walking with Dinosaurs figures for 2.99, those strange little doll/dog hybrids, slightly older Moshi Monsters.
