What cleaning/housework have you done today?

Its been pretty slow going here so far. I have so far:

- put a new bin bag on kitchen bin
- bleached both toilets
- washed the dishes.

Still need to clean windows.
Polish tv (Got a sticky handprint on it!)
Hoover downstairs
Clean sink and floor in downstairs loo.

Got guests tomorrow morning so place needs to be tidy. Maybe seeing how much everyone else has done will spur me on lol x

Sparklingbrook Fri 15-Aug-14 14:23:55

Two loads of clothes washing
Run dishwasher
Hoovered porch
Done bins and recycling

That's quite enough for now. No guests imminent. grin

Cleaned the bathroom because a workman was due to check out a possible leaking waste pipe. He was only here 2 mins and left with nothing to report...

I wanted to march him back up there and force him to admire how sparkling clean I'd made the bathroom just for his visit - acknowledge it damn you, you ignorant plumber. Look how it glitters!!

What a waste sad

(Im an obsessive compulsive neat freak, and if my superior handy work goes unnoticed im not a happy chappy lol)

I've cleared up the kitchen twice (breakfast and lunch for dc's / cup of coffee for me)
Cleared a bag of plastic crap out of ds's bedroom
Dusted newly cleared shelves in ds's room
Moved a whole load of ds's paperwork from the dining room to his room

Ds is currently playing on his Xbox .... Dd is practicing not falling over on her heelys

I'm feeling like a MUG

Nothing at all.

2 loads of washing, emptied dishwasher, washed loads of sports cups in the sink.

I have also done a powerhoop class, dragged the kids to Tesco, showered (twice - once before powerhoop, once afterwards) and fed me/kids lunch.

Heading for my sisters soon so wont be doing much else in the house

Got DH to put some washing on.

DDs and me are out slob bing each other and DH (who is actually working) to make lunch.

DDs are 13/16 and better at cutting bread straight than me. We've all been for a walk and now no one is moving.

Mumof3xox Fri 15-Aug-14 14:29:16

PisforPeter Fri 15-Aug-14 14:29:33

Cleaned kitchen

Been round Waitrose
Trying to summon the energy to iron DS's clothes now

wonkylegs Fri 15-Aug-14 14:29:47

Hoovered & dusted conservatory
Wiped kitchen sides, cleared table, put on dishwasher & swept floor
Put washing/drying on
Put clothes away
Made beds
Cleaned cloakroom
Hoovered family room & plumped cushions
Emptied cups etc from living room
Dusted dining room table & piano
Picked up detritus from stairs & dumped on our bed.
We had guests at 10 & the house looked like a mini disaster prior to their arrival. I'm not usually as efficient I def need visitors to plough through chore lists...
I've got a houseful on Sunday & then again Tues so I might have a beautiful house for a bit.

Sparklingbrook Fri 15-Aug-14 14:30:00

Ooh yes I have been to Morrisons and Wilkos, and been on a five mile walk-at 7am.

polkadotdelight Fri 15-Aug-14 14:32:33

Our buyers came back today ro measure up so Ive scrubbed the house from top to bottom and tidied garden. However at 35 weeks pregnant I now have a very sore back, at least the bath is clean so I can have a soak I suppose!

LineRunner Fri 15-Aug-14 14:33:58

Changed my sheets. (HB round tonight.) grin
4 loads of laundry.
Tidied a bit vaguely in the kitchen.
Stared at washing up.

whatsagoodusername Fri 15-Aug-14 14:34:39

One load washing done and hung up. Another in.

Cleared living room/dining room of all toys. Cleared living room/dining room of all crap. Cleared living room/dining room of all recycling and rubbish.

Got hoover out.

Broke hoover.

Clearly I did too much already and it's time to stop.

Sparklingbrook Fri 15-Aug-14 14:37:31

Yesterday I pulled the TV unit out and hoovered behind it, after removing about 7 nerf bullets and half the contents of the cat's toybox. blush It was vair dusty.

callamia Fri 15-Aug-14 14:37:43

One load of washing just finishing
Various washing up
Mild tidying after boiler replaced yesterday/this morning
I've got a massive pile of ironing to start once I get DS down for his nap.
I'm also part way through baking a cake, but that doesn't count does it?

This is my annual leave hmm

BramwellBrown Fri 15-Aug-14 14:38:15

I picked DD(5)'s dirty knickers off the bathroom floor where she had abandoned them.

I might put the clean washing away later, I'm trying to work out if its reasonable to pay DD 50p to do it...

LineRunner Fri 15-Aug-14 14:38:42

My DS is 15. There are still duplo blocks of his rammed up the chimney.

happygirl87 Fri 15-Aug-14 14:40:34

I unloaded washing machine, hung out washing, stripped bed and loaded washing machine with bedding and put on, and put clean hand towel in bathroom.

Left for work at 08.00, and while I am out my cleaner will come and do the rest grin

Sparklingbrook Fri 15-Aug-14 14:41:03

grin Line

trinity0097 Fri 15-Aug-14 14:43:11

Nothing! There is a pile of dirty dishes above the dishwasher at home.

I am at work working!

I will load the dishwasher tonight, but otherwise anything else will wait for the cleaner on Monday!

pippahooper Fri 15-Aug-14 14:43:21

Had to laugh at the duplo blocks up the chimney lol x

Kemlex13 Fri 15-Aug-14 14:44:26
