So I'm trying to guess a surname.

He says his surname is also his hobby, in an Anglo Saxon sense.

He says he's in the middle of re-building his car at the moment, and that's his hobby.

He says he shares his name with famous musicians and famous walkers.

I have no idea, but trying to appear like a clever dick, so if you have any idea what it could be then tell me tell me tell me!

Please thanks

(oh god, I hope he doesn't read this)

Is it Rumplelstiltskin?

CatKisser Fri 08-Aug-14 20:25:17

Could it actually be Walker? If he's in the process of rebuilding his car he might be walking everywhere....

CatKisser Fri 08-Aug-14 20:25:46

Oh shit, no, that doesn't make sense sorry!!

So silly.

But thanks for your suggestion wine

Famous walkers, as in people who are famous for walking? I can't think of anyone particularly famous for walking.

BeachyKeen Fri 08-Aug-14 20:26:37

so Smith, Tinker, Miller, that sort of name?

FrazzleRock Fri 08-Aug-14 20:26:56

I had thought of Walker, but car building not directly related to walking.... When I type 'famous walkers' into Google, all I get is famous people with Walker as a surname (not helping)

pippibuzzmarten Fri 08-Aug-14 20:27:24

Musicians and walkers? Wainwright?

That's what I thought Beachy.

But trying to match up to re-building a car/musicians/walkers.

Maybe he's pulling my leg? confused

If it wasn't for his hobby I would guess white, Jack white the famous musician and white walkers from game of thrones....

isthisanacidtest Fri 08-Aug-14 20:28:27

I was thinking Wainwright - he did a book of walks didn't he?

pippibuzzmarten Fri 08-Aug-14 20:29:02

Ooooh and wainwright originally meant someone who made wagons!

Catmint Fri 08-Aug-14 20:29:06

I think pippi might have it

wooldonor Fri 08-Aug-14 20:29:42

Oooh yes I like Wainwright as in Louden the III and Rufus the musicians

FrazzleRock Fri 08-Aug-14 20:29:43

Oooh Rider...
RYDER! Shawn Ryder?

Walker called Ryder? Erm...

Oh god, that's it! Right?

HeySoulSister Fri 08-Aug-14 20:30:01

Famous walkers... Charles dickens and Virginia woolf

BeachyKeen Fri 08-Aug-14 20:30:03

BeachyKeen Fri 08-Aug-14 20:31:04

Martha Wainwright is also a famous musician.

wooldonor Fri 08-Aug-14 20:31:29

Definitely Wainwright - it means repairer of wagons grin

Brices Fri 08-Aug-14 20:31:38
