Bahahahaha! I was there! I saw it all! But it got zapped and now it is gone forever.....

OP moaned.
OP posted a link to a website to demonstrate who she was moaning about.
Then the person in question came on and told OP off
OP's RL name was revealed
Thread got zapped

MorphineDreams Thu 31-Jul-14 09:55:10

Can't believe I missed that

picnicbasketcase Thu 31-Jul-14 09:56:00

Aw, I always miss the bunfights sad

sezamcgregor Thu 31-Jul-14 09:57:01

I don't think I'll ever see a thread like it again - it truly was magnificent

Batmansbuttocks Thu 31-Jul-14 09:58:28

Those who saw it were so lucky... <<slopes off>>

Sparklingbrook Thu 31-Jul-14 09:58:45

It was more a cringefest than a bunfight TBF.

PittTheYounger Thu 31-Jul-14 09:59:09

I missed it too

Staywithme Thu 31-Jul-14 09:59:13

Bugger! How'd I miss that? sad

sezamcgregor Thu 31-Jul-14 09:59:29

Lol it wasn't really a bun fight more:

OP - I'm so sick of the boasting
Posters - Post a link! Post a link!
OP - Okay [link]
Posters - Good on her I'd boast too etc etc
OP - Okay, I admit I am jealous
ANGRY PERSON - How dare you slag me off etc etc <Name and shame>

Pancakeflipper Thu 31-Jul-14 10:00:38

Oh no, one of those when the person being slated appeared???
Missed another of those...... must start to spend more time on here...

It sounds epic and I missed it, bugger!

The op had a whine about a facebook friend allegedly boasting. The friend had suffered some horrible times and had gone on to make her personal diet into a successful business.

It appeared that the op didn't know the sadness in the friends life before she became successful.

The ops friend came on the friend and in a very gracious fashion explained herself and suggested that the op look for ways or improve her own life rather than shoot someone else down.

Th op apologised and admitted she had been feeling down about her life etc and the thread was deleted.

I see nothing nice about gloating over the op. She made a foolish mistake and apologised and apart from that thread is a regular poster who is very nice.

There wasn’t much to see tbh, the person was quite gracious and the OP was apologetic.

Sparklingbrook Thu 31-Jul-14 10:05:01

I am not sure it was all that gracious for the offended person to actually name the OP by RL name. sad

sezamcgregor Thu 31-Jul-14 10:33:34

I don't think that the circumstances of the friend's life before her success was relevant.

Thisvehicleisreversing Thu 31-Jul-14 10:42:32

I saw half of the thread.

I thought the op shouldn't have revealed the details of her friend but I can understand why she was annoyed at the fb boasting.

Great for the friend to have made a successful business but it's not on to wave your wealth in people's faces. If you do that you risk pissing friends off.

ah I see, missed most of it.

PittTheYounger Fri 01-Aug-14 09:15:11

how did the slagee find out?

The OP posted a link to her business website so I guess she saw a load of clicks coming from MN

FanjoForTheMammaries Fri 01-Aug-14 10:01:31

I think it was a very clever advertising ploy

Shia Fri 01-Aug-14 10:02:47

No it wasn't.

The op was genuine.

KissMyFatArse Fri 01-Aug-14 10:17:53

I felt awful for OP she was having a bad day.

HalleLouja Fri 01-Aug-14 10:25:12

I saw it and felt sorry for the OP. It was not fair to be named and shamed. People boasting on FB gets dull irrelevant of their previous circumstances.
