I am just back from returning DVD to shop of "The American Hustle." It was good.

I was lusting over Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in equal measure!

Ive recently watched the devils advocate and heat. I thought they were both pretty good. One of my old faves is soldier though, Kurt Russell looks amazing in that wink

Heat and the devils advocate are good. I loved the devils advocate especially. American hustle is not a film I have seen...

Last King of Scotland - it was out for years before I saw it and I loved it, brilliant film.

I watched Blue Jasmine last night

Cate Blanchett was amazing in it, seriously deserved an oscar for it.

I misunderstood the film though, I assumed it would be very woody Allen, humorous, knowing etc.

Nothing like a normal woody allen film, a totally straight film and a character study

We are the Millers

Erdelyi Sat 19-Jul-14 20:51:15

Harold and Maude- only saw it for the first time last month and it was released in 1971!

burgatroyd Sat 19-Jul-14 21:10:34

Rise of apes on four now. Meant to be great. Just started!

I've recently watched all the Marvel Avengers film, after watching Agents of Shield and missing loads of references. I enjoyed all of them (except the Hulk one, that was a bit boring),and have developed a massive crush in Tom Hiddleston.

readrunraverelax there are still DVD rental shops out there?! That's good, I thought they had all sadly closed down!

AlfieandAnnieRose Sat 19-Jul-14 21:41:07

I watched The deep end of the ocean a few weeks ago when it was on channel 5. Brilliantly moving film from 1999 about a little boy who is kidnapped, stars Michelle Pfeiffer. I probably had watched it when it first came out but I had forgotten it all!
