It's really happening!
Am now admitted and on the ward, waiting to go and have a brain tumour removed.
They've got great free Wifi so it could be worse. I should be going to theatre about 11:00.

Just found your thread, OP.
Of all the luck (not) - not wanting to go in the night before and them not being able to fit you in after all. Good call on going out for dinner. I totally would have done that. smile

Love your line 'it's quite a piercing accent here' - you're not wrong there!

HappyMedium Thu 10-Jul-14 21:23:41

You're amazing. thanks

Thank you Wildflowers. smile

Well I won't be going home on Friday.

The consultant came round at lunchtime, I was up and dressed and had been down to the hospital shop. He said "are you ready for home?". I couldn't believe it and checked that he meant today.

I began to wonder if I'd made a mistake and I hadn't really had a craniotomy after all and checked with the nurse. blush

She confirmed that I had, it's amazing! I'm tired and sore but I'm doing OK and am now at home!! grin

Thanks everyone for keeping me company. flowers

Glad to see you doing so well. Such a big op and nearly home already. It's amazing isn't it what the surgeons can do. Here's hoping for an excellent recovery.
