For reasons to long and complicated to explain I have been asked to come up with two play lists in the above genre.
Playlist 1 is for a party so I need about 6 hours of everything from heavy/ thrash metal to some rock that everyone knows
Playlist 2. About 2 hours worth of heavy stuff for the gym/ running.

I have quite an extensive music collection but I've lost sight of things!!

Please help with suggestions if you can.

I've got all the bands listed so far but I was more after tracks by them. ( my favourite black sabbath song is megalomania but that's hardly going to get pulses racing!!)

My God, that post looks even longer than I thought it was going to be, sorry!

Good floor fillers:

Aerosmith:Love in an Elevator
Drowning Pool:Bodies
Pantera:Walk (or fucking hostile if you don't mind swearing)
Faith No More: Epic
Avenged Sevenfold: Unholy Confessions
Ministry: Jesus Built My Hotrod

For running I like Nine Inch Nail's Year Zero album. Every track is a goodie.

Id also recommend Prodigy if they don't mind crossover stuff and in a similar vein Pendulum

Ok I'm not into metal but DH is. According to him, you need music with a 4:4 or 3:6 beat ro run to. A lot of modern stuff is apparently not at this rhythm. Older stuff is apparently a bit better for this.

rate your music is apparently a good place to look for lists/opinions of bands & tracks by music lovers for all genres.
