Does anyone else suffer from fanny twitch?

NC, natch. (So wanted to say snatch then, but decided to be grown up about it).

I occasionally, about once or twice a year get a twitch in my fanny. I cannot figure out if its my vulva or vagina or a mixture of both but it drives me insane.

It used to be worse when I worked in a cafe and drank umpteen amounts of strong coffees a day. Caffeine and fanny twitch aren't a good mix, I soon noticed.

Nothing can stop it. Its distracting, annoying and non stop. Can last days.

Im not the only one am I?

I can affect a nerve if I sit on the sofa arm to do my ironing. My vagina will buzz later that day-very distracting!

WowserBowser Fri 13-Jun-14 19:43:55

I wouldn't mind a nice fanny twitch.

WowserBowser Fri 13-Jun-14 19:44:30

Although, i hate the feeling of pelvic floor exercises, so maybe not.

WowserBowser Fri 13-Jun-14 19:45:18

I've never thought to sit down whilst ironing. What a good idea.

No no no. <shakes head vigorously>

Its not a pleasant feeling at all. Its very unpleasant!

When you say twitch do you mean like an odd twinge? I've had those. Come on suddenly. Horrible!

Not a character from 18th century fiction then! Sounds lik trapped nerve or bladder related to me.

Let me introduce you to the infamous MN nervous fanny syndrome

Aliceinvodkaland Fri 13-Jun-14 20:01:03

my nanny was called that, it made my mum nervous when my dad used to call her sad

ChuffinEllAsLike Fri 13-Jun-14 20:05:43

An nervous fanny, I know that thread well!

But no, this is a twitch almost exactly like the eyebrow twitch....

iamdivergent Fri 13-Jun-14 20:06:58

Aliceinvodkaland Fri 13-Jun-14 20:07:04

ChuffinEllAsLike Fri 13-Jun-14 20:09:50

Its stopped now.

As you were.

shouldnthavesaid Fri 13-Jun-14 20:09:51

Yep, feels like the same spasms I get during an orgasm. Have never thought much about it to be honest, although for a whole it happened every time I sneezed!

Nope! But if I put my finger in my belly button I get a sharp pain up my bum grin

ChuffinEllAsLike Fri 13-Jun-14 20:15:03

YES! Its exactly like the spasm you get with an orgasm! Except there is absolutely zero nice feelings happening.

Conversely, above I mentioned that caffiene can trigger it, wine is the antidote. Which is the only reason I had the lady balls to start the thread in the first place the why it has stopped since I started the thread.

I just out my finger in my belly button and I got no pain, but a sudden urge to poo.

ChuffinEllAsLike Fri 13-Jun-14 20:16:18

Which is good, because Ive been constipated for months.

A on switch for poo, who knew?

IceBeing Fri 13-Jun-14 20:18:14

Ha I get this - not the belly button thing...although I will give that a try now..

Aliceinvodkaland Fri 13-Jun-14 20:20:17

is everyone now sticking their fingers in their belly button? i am and i have no pain up my bum and i don't need a poo? do you think there's something wrong with me...hang on i'm going to phone nhs direct and ask the nice people grin
