Any suggestions for a naice restaurant for tonight? Two people, child free!

What kind of food?

SmartiesMakeMeNaughty Sun 25-May-14 16:32:59

Just asking because the list would be huge without some price/cuisine parameters.

SandorClegane Sun 25-May-14 16:33:24

By nice so you mean fancy? We don't really do fancy but Burger Meats Bun in west regent street does amazing burgers, the Hanoi bike shop just off byres road is amazing for noodles and stuff? Mother indias cafe?

Which part of Glasgow - city centre, west end, south side? What type of food and price range please.

NeedaDiscoNap Sun 25-May-14 16:36:18

Yes give us some parameters please OP!

EmpireBiscuit Sun 25-May-14 16:37:09

Open to anything but fancy-ish, have car, can travel. Maybe £50 per head?

RhondaJean Sun 25-May-14 16:37:44

Guys in merchant city. I'll just find the menu for you...

EmpireBiscuit Sun 25-May-14 16:38:14

Hmm, that reads as not fancy-ish but that's the opposite of what I mean!

Grill on the corner, viva Brazil or piccolo mondo on Argyle street is amazing! X

Oh and the mussel inn for seafood is yum! X

EmpireBiscuit Sun 25-May-14 16:39:33

I went into Hanoi yesterday to look at the menu and not sure I can go the smell for a long period of time.

RhondaJean Sun 25-May-14 16:39:45

Yes to the three kiss suggests too.

Blythswood square is nice - great food and cocktails but a bit blingy.
The Finnieston on Argyle Street is a lovely atmosphere with delicious local produce.
The Grill on the Corner near Central station is an amazing modern steakhouse.
I have had great experiences at all of the above.

RhondaJean Sun 25-May-14 16:40:47

There's a few nice places in princes square as well.

I would go for either
The Two Fat Ladies in Argyle St
The Sisters in Jordanhill
Wee Lochan in Crow Road
Andiamo in Milngavie
All great food and service.

Ooh one I haven't tried personally but is on my hit list and highly recommended by friends - the butcher shop which is almost directly in front of kelvin grove.

I really love Fanny Trollope's in Finnieston.

squoosh Sun 25-May-14 16:52:32

scottishmummy Sun 25-May-14 16:53:12

Jump up to west end
One devonshire
Ubi chip

squoosh Sun 25-May-14 16:54:29
