Mummy, I can't see anything blue and I like blue... and other bedtime woes
DD2 (age 4) is 'having nightmares about zombies' , she needs a new 'Ennis the menace book' - (the GP's brought over a box of DHs old Beano annuals), she needs someone to sleep with her - DD1 is now in bed with dd2 (dd2 has a double so there is room). It has been quiet for a while so hopefully they are asleep now ...
The problem at the moment is that she only worked out a few months ago that she can get out of bed (was always a lie-in-bed-and-shouter) so now we hear 'mutter, mutter mutter, thud thud thud thud thud thud, MUMMY! DADDY!' as she goes to the top of the stairs and shouts down. And if we ignore she just gets louder.
Back to school tomorrow (been off for the best part of a week due to various bugs) so hopefully that'll tire her out enough that tomorrow she'll sleep.
DD 2.5 just managed to shout loudly enough that DH thought she might genuinely need us - he went into her room to be met with 'chicken (toy) wants crisps'... Worried now that it just gets more advanced and she will still be at it at 4. It is cute though - especially listening to DH dealing with it as I am BF DS!
