Is the expression "at the end of the day" common?

I've heard this a couple of times.

It's also used on Jeremy Kyle quite a lot too.

So .. at the end of the day is "at the end of the day" a common expression to use?

At the end of the day, I don't see what the fuss is about grin

Used quite a lot - my standard response to butt in is "it gets dark!"

I hate it.

It is used by all football managers in every TV/radio interview ever. I think it's obligatory.
