I'm wearing my kirby grips flat side out, today's dinner is in the slow cooker, and I've just re-dyed DH's blazer black.

And it's all because of MN grin. Tell me things that you've done because of MN too.

You wipe neat conditioner on your radiator when it's on. Works for about an hour I reckon - so I wait until just before I know we're having visitors. Must get some geranium essential oil though - much nicer smell and I put a bit on a tissue or cotton wool and tuck it behind the radiator - smells amazing!

whats this about fabric conditioner on your rads? and you sound totally organised. i feel less than a proper women now. i seem to phaff alot thru each day but i sort of get there at the end, with loads still needing done, and some stuff having actually got done!

Juggling if you're cooking in the oven this weekend put the pan or tin you use back in the cooling oven with some water in it. the resulting steam should help you get stuff off. obviously wait for the water and oven to cool down so you don't scald yourself. sad

Not a fan of Mr Muscle. It does not love the job I hate. I imagine it to be a stroppy teenager who cba when I apply it to the oven as it does about the same kind of job.

Our local Sainsbury's was out of OvenPride when I looked yesterday, so I bought a Mr Muscle product instead.
Shall I give it a go do you think, or use the fact they'd sold out as a good excuse to put it off longer blush ?

Libertine depends on the box you've got but works on mine and now I have a much happier DH who doesn't think I delete the last programme in the series out of spite grin (I don't BTW I call myself Calamity for a reason!)

ItsAllTLAsToMe Fri 22-Mar-13 10:24:42

Oh, what's that oven cleaner called again? I need to get some before we move house (the oven was cleaned by a very nice man from oven4u not that long ago, so I think I can face sprucing it up smile).

GreenLeafTea Thu 21-Mar-13 23:43:43

Thanks Absy, writes that down.

I learned that my husband was abusive to me and DC
I learned how to make a safety plan and get out
i learned how to say no, and not mind what people thought of me (well nearly anyway)

I cook in a slow cooker, make bread, read "dog", learned how a nest of vipers can be as good for the soul as rl people when you're isolated and scared.

And a host of acronyms that make my everyday letters incomprehensiblegrin

PretzelTime Thu 21-Mar-13 18:03:03

What have you discovered?

Orangerevel Thu 21-Mar-13 17:53:29

Joined Mumsnet today, can't believe what I have discovered.

How the buggery fuckery do you do that then calamity??

CalamityJ Thu 21-Mar-13 16:38:14

How to recover deleted shows on Sky+. I accidentally delete DH's shows all the time and now I can restore them without him ever knowing! I will be forever grateful to MN grin

Lazy The mumsnet hair cut is the one where you make a pony on the top of your hair and cut it off, and it all miraculously falls in perfect layers. There are youtube videos and things.

pompompom Thu 21-Mar-13 15:51:44

Sorry, that should read - what on earth is it going to do that's harmful?

pompompom Thu 21-Mar-13 15:51:06

Yes, BM has anti viral and antibacterial qualities (i think that's by EBM last so long in the fridge) so works well for eyes. FFS its milk, what on earth is it going to do?

Absy Thu 21-Mar-13 14:20:23

And Greenleaftea, to add some more knowledge, Sunday in Hebrew is Yom Rishon (First Day), Monday is Yom Sheni (Second Day) and so on.

Oops posted too soon.
They recommended using breastmilk for a variety or things and it cleared conjunctivitis, baby acne and nappy rash from my DD2.

MouseyHousey Thu 21-Mar-13 14:18:09

I have a correctly fitting bra
I planned my work outfits on Sunday for this week, and it's been great
I learnt that 0.0000012% of the population of Britain is immigrants in council houses, not the 98% that the Daily Mail would have you think.
