I'm 39+1 second dc. Second night of contractions last night I woke about 2am was kept awake until 5/6ish when I dozed for a little while. They trailed off started getting regular again at 7pm ish tonight, now every 5-6 minutes and rather uncomfatable. Managed maybe 20-30 minutes of sleep earlier have had paracetamol but not doing much.

Sounds like it might be! Do you need to wake DP? Sort childcare?

Think I'll leave him be for now. Got a hot water bottle which is taking the edge off the pains. Though the times are back all over the place again.

Have a few people for childcare so should at least be able to reach someone! I'm about 15 mins max away from the hospital so no big rush. Not sure when to ring labour ward. Waters broke with dd so didn't have to think about it.

I would wake him now, and ring labour ward. I was you a week ago, and my not-too-bad, timing-erratic contractions became DH having to catch a baby really rather sharpish smile
