What's the first word that comes to mind when you look at the exterior of this house?

Is it just me or does "spooky" fit the bill?

Not sure about one word - but that's I'm pretty sure murders have been committed there....

Cosy, homely. No, not spooky.

Gorgeous!

I know what you mean. I don't think spooky, definitely unsettling.

rubyrubyruby Sat 09-Mar-13 23:04:19

No - I like it.

Mintyy Sat 09-Mar-13 23:04:31

Extended.

I really like it!

I don't know about spooky, but I can tell you I am very much in love with the chest of drawers in picture 4 <helpful>

Maybe I would go with gloomy?

Bunbaker Sat 09-Mar-13 23:05:00

Not spooky to me either.

MaryMotherOfCheeses Sat 09-Mar-13 23:05:06

Withnail.

First word.

Farm-y smile

Isn't it funny how we all see things differently? I like the inside but nearly didn't bother to look because the outside looked so sinister to me.

TooWetToWoo Sat 09-Mar-13 23:06:05

I think it's just the angle it's been photographed in, for me the tree stump sort of looks like a zombified hand coming out the earth.

Bunbaker Sat 09-Mar-13 23:06:17

I posted too quickly. The rooms are too dark and the ceilings too low so I would find it claustrophobic, but not at all spooky.

I covet madly the chest of drawers in picture 4 (like one of those Apocrathy Cabinets)

It looks like one of those remote houses in programmes like The Sculptress - where you just know there's going to be a bloodbath.
But it's a lovely house.

Is it your house Farley ?

heathcliffe!

Ooh look at this one (sorry, having one of my regular RightMove browses):

I think it's the front door. It looks very closed up. If it had a porch it would be nicer.

Just you. Looks nice.

Pelvic is it worth buying the house for the chest of drawers do you reckon? grin

A bit empty, but I wouldn't mind moving in and warming it up a bit smile

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza Sat 09-Mar-13 23:10:51

I think it looks fine and usually I see serial killers everywhere.

ravenAK Sat 09-Mar-13 23:10:55

It's that Norfolk sky. It's designed to make you feel like a field mouse with paranoid tendencies, the day after the harvest.

Brrrrr!

<used to live in Norfolk>

PelvicFloorClenchReminder Sat 09-Mar-13 23:12:13

70 I think it would be worth calling the estate agent and making an offer on the drawers grin

I love the second house, the stairs in picture 3 are very Little House On The Prairie!

- that was for the first one BTW

Second one looks like a great sort of summer house - reminds me of my Gran's hut by the sea !
