Words fail me.

My life is a new kind of hell.

PatFenis Fri 01-Mar-13 21:39:16

You have my deepest sympathy.

Katiebeau Fri 01-Mar-13 21:59:32

Hot potato hot potato x 1 trillion = bleeding ears. My deepest and sincerest empathy wine

CadleCrap Fri 01-Mar-13 22:00:34

That is probably the worst dinosaur I have ever seen. Don't get me started on the Octopus

NaturalBlondeYeahRight Fri 01-Mar-13 22:01:57

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Fruit salad, yummy yummy

I like them smile. We even went to see them on tour at the (packed) Hammersmith Apollo.

OhMyNoReally Fri 01-Mar-13 22:06:09

I've had a wiggles song in my head for days now, even though dc haven't watched them for a year or so. The only thing that stops the song is whisky liqueur. I think the wiggles have gone but they keep creeping back, alcohol is the only solution. grin

We promised DD that our next car will be big and red.

We thought she'd forget.

Our big red car arrives in May.

Thanks, Wiggles.

Geeklover Fri 01-Mar-13 22:06:50

I lost a stone in a month when dd (now almost 10) discovered the wiggles. All that dancing along with her three times a day grin
I went on the High School Musical diet a few years later. Wasn't nearly as effective.
Now it's the 1 Direction diet which means I run away as far as I can get every time she puts the cd on.

PoppyWearer Fri 01-Mar-13 22:08:11

A friend bought DC1 the DVD.

We've watched it twice.

I have hidden the fecking DVD

schnauzerfan Fri 01-Mar-13 22:08:44

WAKE UP Jeff!!!!! Then again don't bother as once you do you'll be bloody joining the others in a sing song.

You have my every sympathy.

SeagullsAreLikeThat Fri 01-Mar-13 22:10:03

I like them toosmile. We have seen them three, yes, three times! And have the DVDs. And the greatest hits CD. What can I say, we like cheesy kids pop! Rockabye Bear is one of the first songs DS2 ever sang. And there's something about Sam that is rather attractive...

LemonMousse Fri 01-Mar-13 22:13:54

Aaah bless - send them to me. My youngest is 12 now and I can look back with fond affection on the Wiggles.

"Henry the octopus, lives down in the deep blue sea, Henry the octopus - he's a friend to you and me..."

The trauma jolly-ness never leaves you wink

blondieminx Fri 01-Mar-13 22:13:56

Dorothy the dinosaaaaaaur! Romp bomp a chomp x1 million.

Argh

<slurps more gin>

Euphemia Fri 01-Mar-13 22:14:09

Dorothy the "we found a crap green suit up the back of a cupboard and couldn't think what the fuck it was so we pretended it was a" dinosaur and Captain "now we can't be encouraging the kiddies to play with real swords so we'll kid on there's such a thing as a" Feathersword.

Worst programme ever. It was like an Australian Singing Kettle. <shudder>

frillynat81 Fri 01-Mar-13 22:14:34

omg they are up there with barney - i hated them with a passion. i'm so sorry sad

BearFrills Fri 01-Mar-13 22:15:00

DS and DD have the CD and the DVD. They bloody love it, I remain indifferent but it is so cute when 18mo DD tries to sing and dance then even cuter when 3yo DS grabs her hands and dances with her.

Altogether now .... everybody clap <clap clap clap>, everybody siiiing <lalalalala>, bow to your partner, then you turn around <weehee> Hands in the air, rockabye your bear, bear's now asleep <shh shh shh>

Guess which song is their favourite?

Only one thing to add:

quaack quack quaack quack cock a doodle doo, quaack quack quaack quack cock a doodle doo, quaack quack quaack doodly doo.

aaaargh winewinewinewinewinewine

Plus I am dry heaving at the thought of any of them being thought of as "a bit attractive". <glares> more wine will not even make that happen!

schnauzerfan Fri 01-Mar-13 22:26:45

I met Murray once, lovely lovely lovely fella.

LemonMousse Fri 01-Mar-13 22:26:55

I can't even begin to explain my excitement when they appeared in an episode of neighbours. The Big Red Car broke down in Ramsey Street!

"Toot toot chugga chugga big red caaaaaar..." grin

FriskyBivalves Fri 01-Mar-13 22:32:32

Wasn't there something about "mashed potato, mashed potato?"

Re Barney, my dsis firmly believes he's a paedophile. That theme tune, for a start. "I love you.. you love me." Typical grooming behaviour, dsis exclaims. Inappropriate touching of children etc etc. I've never been able to watch again. Shame, that.

Maryz Fri 01-Mar-13 22:37:25

I had an Australian friend who gave me a video (yes a video) of The Wiggles for ds1 when he was about four. He is 19 now. I can't believe they have been going for 15 years shock.

Having said that, they may be awful, but they were at the time a mahoosive improvement on that fucking purple dinosaur [mutter]

CadleCrap Fri 01-Mar-13 22:51:58

DH took them to the library - we have the CD for the car now.

<sigh>

Maryz, ds1 is 15 and was introduced to the wiggles by an Australian friend too, we had one video, which he wanted in constantly smile
He started wanting to do ballet after seeing Greg doing
'I am a dancer, I am a dancer, I like to dance so, when I hear music, when I hear music round and around I go! smile
He only kept it up till 7 unfortuantly, he's 6ft 3 now and rugby and football mad.
The dt's 3 where obsessed with the wiggles and Steve Erwin but I found I cryed every time it came on sad .
