During the summer holidays DH will be at work, but I will have time off with our ds's (4 and 7) so i was thinking of taking them away on the odd one nighter if I can get rooms at a good price

Premier Inn have emailed me to say that there will be rooms released on Friday from £29 for over the summer period.

Can anyone recommend good ones with child friendly activities nearby (if I can use tesco club card rewards to get into them even better!) that are within about 2 hours of Cardiff?

Bristol, or is that too close? We have a zoo, @Bristol, and free museums.

did it say which ones, and do you need a promo code? I almost booked a premier today but this could save me a lot.......

This one is lovely, right next to Trentham Gardens and only about 1 mile from Monkey World. Not sure about distance from Cardiff though.

I don't think there's any codes. It looks more like a sale or general promotion. Bet there won't be many rooms at the cheapest prices.

I think stoke might be a bit far for this year by myself - we're just west of Cardiff so it would be nearly 3 hours drive. It does look lovely though, I'll bear it in mind for the future.
