Horrible tummy after 2 children...

Didn't know where to post this so apologies if there is a more appropriate section.

DD is 5 and DS is 20 months. Both were big babies and I was huuuuggee when PG.

I have a horrible wrinkly stomach. It's so ugly. I have dieted and toned but honestly I think the flatter my stomach got after DS the more wrinkly it was.

Been thinking recently about seeing my GP but feel like surgery under NHS would be unlikely?

I really really hate my body sad

Can I have some opinions from people that feel the same, or have had surgery, or any GPs who may be able to tell me if seeing my GP may or not be worthwhile.

Thanks.

I have this and it's horrible. I was enormous round the stomach both times I was pg, and my skin never went back to its normal size properly. My chidren are 10 and 7 and sorry to say I don't think it has got any better. It actually looks worse when I am thin than when I'm fatter.

Will be watching your thread to see what other people can suggest as I really hate my stomach.

Sorry I have no suggestions but I also know what you mean.

After DS it was pretty much ok but now after DD it looks just awful. There are just rolls of excess skin hanging over the front of my trousers. I cannot see how it is ever going to go away. I can't imagine ever even wearing a dress again because I still look a bit pregnant (DD is 1). I hate it. I feel disgusting.

Oh god, you two, I really want there to be a solution for you/us!

There are old threads on here about this and it seems extremely hard to get a TT on NHS.

sad

I've had twins. crepe paper skin and ugliness all round.

On a medical note: go to the GP and say you think you may have Diastasis Recti. This is when the pregnancy has separated the two muscles that run down your tummy. If you lie down flat and feel it you may even feel a gap down the middle. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diastasis_recti

Physiotherapy or some time with a properly trained personal trainer can sort this out (yes for me); and its worth investing in that before you start thinking about letting someone cut you up.

I have now got fairly good tummy muscles from training, and fat there which is my very own fault! The skin is another matter. Personally I think that if I could sort the muscles and the fat out I might seriously consider getting someone to sort the skin bit out, but its such a great relief to be able to change anything in that area that I feel a whole lot better about it in the last 3 months . My twins are 4 now!

Ooh will look into this...

I have the deflated bread dough thing despite months of intensive physio, it's skin and it won't go away. I don't want it but I'm reluctant to have more surgery. Oh and my boobs have turned into two deflated balloons. I a wondering whether putting on a stone would make me look better because at the moment I feel like I'm walking around in someone else's skin.
