I really hope she is as nice in RL. She has just been on This Morning and her new sitcom starts tonight. grin

Have we ever had her on MN for a webchat?

ppeatfruit Tue 26-Feb-13 12:54:14

They repeated Giles and Sue doing the Super Sizers get married Royally or something grin It was so funny she was brilliant as a royal I heart her as well.

mrsjay Tue 26-Feb-13 12:56:22

I love the one where she is fanning herself flirtily ( not a word) it is very funny and she is always a bit pissed in them , I think that was the regency episode lots of fan flapping

FlouncingMintyy Tue 26-Feb-13 12:56:52

I think she is on tv too much. In danger of becoming a Tony Slattery or Carol Vorderman.

fishcalledwonder Tue 26-Feb-13 12:59:23

Light lunch was brilliant. I missed many A level lessons due to leaving early to watch Mel and sue.

Sparklingbrook Tue 26-Feb-13 12:59:34

I loved the Good Life episode of the Supersizers at Christmas it was great. grin SP was drunk in that too.

chocoluvva Tue 26-Feb-13 13:03:03

I'm pathetically excited about the new sitcom tonight.

ppeatfruit Tue 26-Feb-13 13:05:55

But Flouncing she hasn't resorted to the fakeness of Carol V. IMO she's REAL. Didn't Tony Slattery have a breakdown or something?

4TheLoveOfBob Tue 26-Feb-13 13:06:50

I love her. Not the other one though. Mel? She annoys me.

Sue is cool, though. I want her as a mate.

sausagesandwich34 Tue 26-Feb-13 13:10:31

isn't she qualified as a dentist or is that just a vicious rumour?

I love Sue and even my dad who is a raging homophobe loves her which is unheard off -he doesn't do celebs

chocoluvva Tue 26-Feb-13 13:14:14

Tony Slattery did have a breakdown but recovered.

SP went to drama school, if I'm not mistaken.

cheddarcheeselover Tue 26-Feb-13 13:17:48

I love mel and sue, I want mel to come round and drink white wine and sue to be my cool mate who takes me out to fancy bars.
fond memories of watching light lunch when I was supposed to be revising for my GCSEs!

Seeline Tue 26-Feb-13 13:19:44

She went to school in croydon (my mil was one of her teachers) Did English at Cambridge and was in the Footlights I think.

seeker Tue 26-Feb-13 13:20:50

Sadly, English at Cambridge, like all the others!

Stumbleine Tue 26-Feb-13 13:21:23

Love SP and used to love late lunch too. My friend and I had tickets to need in the audience but didn't get chance to use them before the show.stopped sad

QuickLookBusy Tue 26-Feb-13 13:25:58

Love Sue and can't wait for the new sitcom.

I wish they would bring back Light Lunch. It was so funny and far far better than the shit Loose Women.

sausagesandwich34 Tue 26-Feb-13 13:26:13

aw -my illusions have just been shattered!

but I still love her smile

ppeatfruit Tue 26-Feb-13 13:26:43

No I like Mel as well esp. on GBBO, they can both be a bit silly but that's part of the charm IMO!

I used to watch Light Lunch when I was on maternity leave in 1998. Loved it.
They both seemed to disappear after that show.
Sue P may well become a National Treasure.

Mistyshore Tue 26-Feb-13 13:47:47

She was outed to the viewers by Rhona Cameron on I'm a Celebrity. I think before that she just didn't comment publicly on her sexuality but Rhona discussed that they'd had a relationship.

I think she's fab

everlong Tue 26-Feb-13 13:54:25

Mel is just as nice too wink

VikingLady Tue 26-Feb-13 14:15:27

I'm currently listening to SP's radio panel show Dilemma

Sparklingbrook Tue 26-Feb-13 19:25:58

She was on the One Show. I missed it-just put it on 5 mins from the end. sad

Sparklingbrook Tue 26-Feb-13 19:27:19

Onion teacake. grin

mum47 Tue 26-Feb-13 19:32:27

Watching her her on the One Show - very funny. She said she has two beagles - I have one - she described them in one perfect word - "feisty" - love her for that!

Armi Tue 26-Feb-13 20:01:42

I love her. She was in loads of programmes when DD was a tiny baby. I recorded all of them and used to watch them when doing the night feeds so now I feel as if she was lending moral support.

I love Mel, too.
