I really hope she is as nice in RL. She has just been on This Morning and her new sitcom starts tonight.
Have we ever had her on MN for a webchat?

I chatted to her once on a train, she was quite quietly spoken but very funny and sharp-witted as you would expect.
Sue is my imaginary best friend we do pub quizzes and the like together...
I read that she was engaged to a man at 23. Maybe she did need someone to out her!

Oh I loved Light Lunch. They've both said that they regretted stopping it so quickly. I remember once they were supposed to have Madonna on but she pulled out at the last minute and Gwyneth Paltrow did it instead, and she was a really good sport.
Didn't the audience take their packed lunches in on Light Lunch?

yes and they used to go through them and find meat paste sandwhiches
Surely SP is a MN-er. She belongs with us
I have asked MNHQ about the webchat.

She IS really nice in real life. Not that I've ever met her, or know anyone who has, but she just IS. There is no alternative.
Does anyone remember their nick name for Hugh F-S on Light Lunch?
Huge Furry-Whippingtool. I still call him that! I expect he liked it too
SparklingBrook It was an organic food shop, she'd just come in so no basket to snoop in.

I loved light lunch, and was so pleased to see Mel and Sue reunited on the GBBO. Would love to be mates with them - such good fun gals!

I really like her too, can't put my finger on why though. Obviously she's very funny but also I think because she's just normal, down to earth, unpretentious and not afraid to be who she is but not in an annoying way. She's just nice.
I think she's lovely too, and am looking forward to the new show tonight.
She's written a rather brilliant teaser for it in this week's Radio Times
She even makes baking seem like something I might consider
Or conducting an orchestra .... Crossing the rainforest in a jeep .... Anything really !
Oh Zoid I am so glad she wasn't perusing the cleaning stuff in Wilkos or something.
SP is great, follow her on Twitter -she always seems so nice, and love her and Mel's sense of humour. Best possible people to do GBBO.
I like her, but can't stand Mel, terrible actress and not funny imho
