I reveal way too much and would probably be outable even now but, I'm pretty sure no one's interested. I just worry if I might be a bit too honest about work related things

Been on MN for 4 years on and off, only NC'd last week when I saw the Eddie Izzard thread. Will prob NC back soon.

I find it kind of reassuring to see the same names come up and have started looking out for them (Chaos, Mrs DeV, Sparkling, Worra, MrsFuzzy, ledkr)

No, Worra, you can't change it, remember the MN dog is called WorraL and after the job of explaining to the vets that, yes, it is a capital L at the end you can jolly well keep it.

I joined in 2009 or 2010 and I think I've had about 7 or 8 names. Two were specifically just for two threads.

I post in Baby Names (baby name geek) a lot and often give my own name out in the context of the convo, and so NC every now and then mostly on this basis.

I have recognised a couple of people on here so see how easily it can happen.

Two. I only changed because someone accused me of being a journalist and doing some under hand story gathering!

Eight over the years. I NC to avoid building up too much of a history, or if I feel like re-inventing myself. Somehow Feenie always seems to know though...

I have been accused of a post I didn't make, those people are just out to bully for any reason and think they own this website which goes to show how tragic and pathetic they are. I am Theo and always will be. I am sometimes tempted to name change to disagree with someone but can't be arsed and if I can't speak as me then I shouldn't say it. As long as I avoid 4x4 threads I don't need to argue with anyone.

I briefly name changed after being quite nastily abused by a vile little man who seemed to stalk me and ridicule any further threads I posted on after he took exception to me living in the ME because his friend had lived there and didn't like it and I was a bit scared of him, he started getting very personal and aggressive. He obviously found someone else and hasn't bothered me since I changed back a couple of years ago. I actually hate that man.

About 12 since 2009.

I first changed because I outed myself, then change if I am positing something very personal and identifying. Last year I changed every Monday just so I could not be traceable because I had an ex-friend on here who I did not want to know who I was.

Have kept this one for a while now... since Christmas I think. (Although am planning to change my name to WetWellies as it seems more appropriate now.)

I did start a thread asking for ideas for a new NN for me and got told not to change it.

Four main ones. First was my actual name which lasted about 20 seconds. Then I flounced and no one noticed so I lost that one. Two since then.

Been here 6 years btw so essentially 3 in 6 years isn't too bad.

This is my fourth - I've NCd every New Year.

2 main ones (this one and NorfolkNChance -which then went weird and I couldn't log on so hence the change), obvious festive changes and a few TV themed ones. Oh and a brief flirtation with DarthUndercrackers.

Name-changed first one after particularly traumatic AIBU
Have had this one since then, and have one other that I use if I want to start a thread on any particularly private/personal issues as I'm pretty recognisable in RL from this nickname.

This is the only one that is in no way linked to the original one I had in 2010 when I joined, before that the only changes were variations, but after a bit of RL crossover and a need to distance myself I changed in January.

About 6 main ones but I have about 140 names on my list. Some I've used a few times on jokey threads but most are just from trying to find The One.
