I can clarify Graham Norton is lovely in RL. A few years ago my DB had a job of delivering hand-made (very) heavy furniture. He had a delivery to a customer in West Cork. He phoned the customer on his mobile to arrange date/time for delivery - turned out the customer was GN! A beautiful house overlooking a gorgeous bay in West Cork (stunning scenery) and GN turned out to be utterly charming. He helped DB carry the furniture in, made tea and gave a generous tip! I asked him for GN's mobile number but he binned it

I loved Richard in 'O and a G' but he is a bit up himself nowadays. I always thought he came across as a brilliant kisser. I would help him practice if he asked.
I'll have to catch up with the show as it was passed my bedtime.

I may have swooned over RG for years...and was initially amused by his audience tour...but after his attempts to belittle GN...I swiftly went off him!! He wasn't big or clever -and misjudged his performance- RG may still look sexy but has defo lost my vote and I suspect many of his followers I did think Our Graham handled his comments well -with jokes -but coming so soon after Mark Wahlberg GN must have thought he was going to have another nightmare Shame on RG and shame for Our Graham

RG was great, very funny in a very dry way and I would crawl over broken glass for JM. Both young women were embarrassingly vacuous, sadly.

I watched GN on iPlayer last night after reading the first few posts. I used to really fancy/love RG, but I thought he acted like a real douche to GN, especially saying things like, "I don't know what you're talking about." I think Taylor Swift had it right by saying that things go wrong when you speak to RG. I think now that he engineers the conversation to go wrong.
I like JM very much, too and didn't like the way that he was sidelined by RG. I was very amused about his "method" acting stories. I always thought he was more serious about stuff than he actually is. I should have realised that after seeing the ??? John Malkovich film where he played himself, shouldn't I?
I agree with youf and bad about the Irish actress. She looked distinctly uncomfortable a lot of the time. I wish that the question that JM had put to her about what she said when people told her that she mispronounced her own name, had been followed up.
So, all in all, I was disappointed by RG. I should really have known as I think he was a bit of an arse the last time I saw him interviewed, years ago. Didn't like all the gladhanding, either. He wasn't the only person on the show.

I thought it was a shame he was on the same show as JM. JM would have been totally interesting on his own but RG took over and was such an arse I wondered if he felt threatened by JM?

I only tuned in half way through so will have to watch again.
Does anyone remember Richard Gere in a movie called "Yanks". I loved that movie with a passion yet it hardly ever gets mentioned.

I loved Yanks as well! Totally fell in love with RG at that point.
Rather fell out of love with him when he was an arse to GN on Friday. Don't mess with our national treasures!

I totally agree. I think she looked furious and seemed to have edged towards John Malkovich. Then I see a photo of him at the Oscars in todays Daily M, pressed up against another actress with his arm around her middle. Completely inappropriate. I went off him on Friday. Far too conceited.

I love Graham Norton, but most of his questions to Richard Gere were about things he supposedly said about movies that are decades old, American Gigolo -1980, Pretty Woman - 1990 and Looking for Mr Goodbar - 1977, did GN REALLY expect him to remember what he said all those years ago. I think the actress he had his arm around in the DM was his wife Carey Lowell.

He has his arm round Renee Zellweger, who isn't his wife.

Just saw it, JM was hilarious - to me anyway! Ronan girl can across well but what a thick accent , RG ok from what I saw.
RG was a twat on GN, but I think he had his arm round Renee Z as she was so out of it that she was lurching about.
